The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) has provided language training for over two decades at both the university and corporate levels. Italian language batches are organized throughout the year in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Goa, taught by Italian faculty members.

Why learn Ita l ian?

OUR COURSES

Level I - Beginner

Communicate at a basic level and learn how to converse in an Italian-speaking environment. Comprehension of Italian is limited but a foundation has been laid for further learning.

Level II - Intermediate

Communicate adequately in simple everyday situations. Range of vocabulary, use of grammatical structure and ability to comprehend oral and written Italian is evolving.

Level III - Advanced

Develop language skills and the ability to communicate quite fluently in everyday situations. Be able to express complex ideas. Acquire a range of vocabulary and a command of all basic grammatical structures.

Level IV - Diploma

Understand the complexities of the language, although may still require some work on accuracy. At the end of the course, the learner will be close to native speaker competence.

Framework: Based on the Common European Framework of Reference: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR) developed by the Council of Europe

Structure: 4 levels of 44 hours each, weekdays or weekends

Materials: Italian books, music CDs and films available at IICCI

Methodology: Communicative & task-based approach, with sessions involving discussion with Italian nationals other than faculty members

Assessment: Certificate of Excellence is awarded on completion of each level. Diploma Certificate is awarded on completion of all levels (I-IV)

Charges: 7,000 INR per course inclusive of taxes and study material; discounted rates available for IICCI members

TRANSLATION & INTERPRETATION

Through a dedicated team of professionals fluent in Italian, English and regional Indian languages, the IICCI provides services such as translation of documents and interpretation for business meetings and negotiations.

CORPORATE & PRIVATE CLASSES

IICCI offers customised corporate courses for companies interested in developing their employees’ knowledge of Italian. Private courses at the doorstep of those who like to optimize their day at the very best are also available.
