    Thinking about Your Language

    Development

    Introduction

This pack contains a small selection of English language awareness materials taken from a

    variety of ESOL textbooks.

    How to use the materials

When using the materials, try to connect the language descriptions contained in this booklet

(e.g. grammar explanations) with the English language you see and hear around you. Noticing

how language works in real communication will help you to use more accurate English and the

    right language for a situation.

Think about your language development as a continual process which involves

speaking, writing, listening, reading, and thinking about the language you use.
