Assembling your lapbook foldersEach folder is made by folding an 11” by 17” sheet of cardstock. Fold 4” on each end of the cardstock into the middle, and glue together as in the diagram at the right. (Our preassembled lapbooks and kits use red and burgundy cardstock.)

Decorating your LapbookHave your child decorate the outside cover of your lapbook in any style he or she chooses (draw, paint, glue pictures, etc). The ideas for the front cover are endless. Choose a topic or art project from this unit, and have fun making it your own personalized lapbook!

Creating your LapbookPrint each file on colored paper such as those which we suggest in our file names (using the kit? This step has already been done for you). Use the booklet assembly instructions on the following page to create your lapbook.

LapbookMummies Booklet: Fold 1a in thirds on the dotted line and glue into folder. Cut out 1b and glue into the sections of 1a.

Pyramids Booklet: Cut out and fold the triangle upwards on the dotted line. Glue into folder.

Pharaohs Booklet: Cut out, fold on the dotted line, and glue into folder.

Flora and Fauna of Ancient Egypt Booklet: Cut out the three pages, stack them in order, staple twice on top, and glue entire back page into folder.

Geography Vocabulary Booklet: Cut out and fold in quarters inwardly on the dotted lines. Then cut on the lines between words to make flaps. Glue into folder.
