The city of Las Vegas has an area of 293.6 km2.

The city is located in an arid area, surrounded by mountains. Being

situated in the desert, most of the terrain is rocky and dusty.

Las Vegas is the fastest growing city in the United States. Every

month thousands of people settle in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is sometimes referred to as Sin City due to thepopularity of the game and legal wagering, availability ofalcoholic drinks at any time of day (as in all Nevada), thelegality of prostitution in neighboring counties.

Local government and tourism promoters in the city use the phrase of what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas.
