It was a morning filled with not, only racing and competition, but school spirit, pride, music, fun and laughter. Congratulations to Mr. D‘Amato and Mrs. Mahoney for preparing all of the students for this event. Thank you to all the parents who supported the morning. It was amazing! Can you believe that this is the last Week At A Glance for the year! As I look back at the last ten months, I am filled with such pride at the successes that all of our students have made. Academically, socially, and physically they have all made such growth. They have worked together with their teachers in learning new concepts, exploring new ideas, challenging themselves, meeting new friends and living the Cos Cob School Norms. A special thank you to my staff for their unwavering dedication to teaching, and for coming to work each day ready to challenge, motivate, excite and educate all of our learners. Your work never ceases to amaze me and I appreciate each and every one of you and the work you do! Thank you to my office staff, custodial staff, cafeteria staff, professional assistants who complete the circle of ensuring every child’s success, happiness and safety here at Cos Cob School! I have enjoyed the highlights we have celebrated together this year, and there have been many. Our PTA has supported and funded wonderful experiences for all of our students, and I am extremely grateful to them for their support. As summer vacation is around the corner, please have your children keep up with the skills they have learned this year. Encourage them to read every day, and remember that vacationing, camps and family events offer great opportunities for children to write in their journals and diaries. I look forward to seeing you all back for the first day of school on Aug. 31 st . Our summer mailing will go home on August 18 th with class placements and pertinent back to school information. To all those families moving on to other schools, states and countries, I extend my best wishes for continued success and hope that our paths will cross again. It has been my privilege serving as your Principal. Congratulations Anthony for representing the Special Olympics this morning! There were over 100 students and staff cheering him on this morning from the sidelines. He made Cos Cob School very proud this morning!! Thank you for your support with our CHAMPS coin collection.
