Last year, North Carolina’s top environmental regulators thwarted three separate Clean Water Act lawsuits aimed at forcing Duke Energy, the largest electricity company in the country, to clean up its toxic coal ash pits in the state Not to everyone. Old ways of thinking are only really helped by education, which is sorely lacking in my home state (the public education system, that is - I have no experience with private schools). Either way, there is a large group of people who don't know how to define the problems facing us, or worse, define them incorrectly - young and old are in this boat together, and it's creating a mess. Young people are neglecting to participate in part because they feel powerless and consider the democratic republic system we have to be a joke. Older people are participating in creating this problem out of a multitude of reasons as well, like protecting themselves from perceived (imaginary or misidentified) threats. the banking center in Charlotte. It's like a corruption hub - all that money could buy a lot of politicians...So no, I don't think it's obvious to everyone.
