RECOMMENDATION That Council: 1. receive the report by the Director Community on the Council Representative on

Mudgee Region Tourism Incorporated.;

2. appoints Councillor______________to be the Council Representative for Mudgee Region Tourism Incorporated.

Executive summary Council has received a resignation from Cr Holden from the position of Council representative on the Mudgee Region Tourism Inc. board. This report provides the opportunity for Council to appoint another Councillor to this position. Disclosure of Interest Nil Detailed report N/A

13.2 Community Grants Program Application - Mudgee Disability Support Services.

RECOMMENDATION That Council: 1. receive the report by the Director Community on the Community Grants Program

Application - Mudgee Disability Support Services.;

2. provide financial assistance to Mudgee Disability Support Services in accordance with the Community Grants Program Policy, by the waiver of hire fees of $649 and the required bond of $550 for the hire of the Town Hall Theatre.

Executive summary An application for financial assistance through the Community Grants Program has been received from Mudgee Disability Support Services. They have requested a waiving of hire fees and bond for the hire of the Mudgee Town Hall Theatre for their annual fundraising concert. The application was received too late to be considered for the March meeting through the Community Grants process and would not be considered until after the event. A late report has been requested to consider the matter. Disclosure of Interest Nil Detailed report This report provides some information regarding this application for Community Grants assistance. Staff have not assesed the application as it has been received too late to be considered for the March report with other applications. While it is clear that this application will have some merit, as a general rule staff are hesistant to support applications where they have not been fully assessed and fall outside of the established timeframes for consideration and reporting to Council alongside other applications. With regard to the waiving of the bond, the usual conditions of hire will still apply and if there is damage or issues that require rectification, Council reserves the right to charge the hirer for these costs.

Financial implications Funding of $185,165 is provided in the Operation Plan for Financial Assistance. $120,630.80 has already been allocated, leaving a balance of $64,534.20. Should Council approve the recommendations provided in this report, totalling $649, a balance of $63,885.20 will remain.

Please find attached our completed Application Form and a copy of our Public Liability Insurance Policy. Mudgee Disability Support Service Inc. is asking if MidWestern Regional Council could waiver their hire fee of $650 & the bond of $550 for the use of the Town Hall Theatre from Monday 27th March, 2017 – Monday 3rd April, 2017. This is so that our Clients are able to have a number of rehearsals in the Town Hall Theatre before the day of the Play which is the Saturday 1st April, 2017.
