The Engineering Degree Program run by theinstitute, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), NewDelhi, sanctioned by Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to Savitribai PhulePune Universityare :

The institute is situated in the heart of Pune city at prime location in the WadiaCollege Campus. The Society has adequate hostels for boys and girls. An extensiveareaabout two hectares is used as playground and a Gymkhana Pavilion built thereonis used as a stadium and houses a gymnasium. An open-air stadium borders one sideof theplayground.
Additional new buildings have come up to cater the needs of residents ofhostel. The new Boy's and Girl's Hostel Block is constructed to increaseaccommodation capacity.

The fundamental subjects of Engineering are Physics,Chemistry & Mathematics. The laboratories of Physicsand Chemistry are well equipped to cater to thestudents' knowledge in basic sciences with orientationtowards engineering concepts. The Department offersacademic advising, tutoring in all subjects andmentoring in order to facilitate success during firstyear. It motivates the students for higher studies byimparting fundamental facets of Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics and other subjects. Students admitted after 12th Standard (Science) aregroomed as budding engineers. Departmental Activities:� During the last academic year under
research activities the Department hasconducted two days National LevelConference on “Recent Advances inComputer Engineering” (RACE 2015).The National Level Conference on RecentAdvances in ComputerEngineering wasthepremier forum for presentation of newadvances and research results in the field ofComputerEngineering.

The Graduates from this Department are playing a vital role in the engineeringrevolution and are instrumental in placing Maharashtra on the Global IndustrialLandscape. These professionals have found placements in major industries andmultinational corporate companies such as SYNTEL, Capgemini, L&T InfoTechHSBC, etc. Many of them are successful entrepreneurs also. The Department hasdeveloped a strong bond with its alumni and promotes good relations with theindustry in various fields of engineering. State-of-art Laboratory facilities in the areasof Advanced Communication, Telematics, Signal Processing, Fiber Optics, Robotics,Embedded System, Image Processing and VLSI offer students the advantage of acomprehensive experience that allows them to put into practice the theory learned intheclassroom.
The Department has technically rich and industry experienced facultyproviding sound foundation of knowledge in electronics and related areas. Thedepartment displays activity plan before commencement of each semester. Its goal is to find outhidden talent in students and nurturing it with an appropriate direction. It provideswide technical expertise in all work domain considering students interest. Workingwith industry experts and fellow junior mates it inculcates the personality to work inall conditions enhancing student's confidence to face and successfully handlechallenges in industry.Here proper mentoring of backlog and year down students is successfully done. Astrong database with information such as marks, weak points etc. is prepared.Accordingly problem identification is done. EntrepreneurshipDevelopmentInitiative :The college has initiated an active entrepreneurship development activity during2013-14 to promote entrepreneurship among passing out students as a serious careeroption. The EDC conducts various activities like Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp,Entrepreneurship Development Programs, Faculty Development Programs, FieldVisits and interaction with successful Entrepreneurs. College has been selected byDST, New Delhi as a nodal agency to deliver Entrepreneurship training programs.These programs are delivered in collaboration with Entrepreneurship DevelopmentInstitute (EDI), Ahmedabad under financial grant from DST. Almost more than 170students havegone through the Entrepreneurshipawareness campand manyof themare on way to start entrepreneurship venture of theirown. The EDC also arranges helpfor budding Entrepreneurs in the form of specific Technology inputs, guidance onseeking help on financial, legal, managerial and other matters related to starting up anew business venture. The budding engineers find the mentoring and hand-holdingprovided bythe EDCveryuseful during thestarting phaseof a new businessventure.

Office Hours :
The college office shall normally be open from Monday to Friday between 9.00 am to5.00 pm. All transactions are transacted between 10.00am to 01.00 pm. The office willremainclosedon Saturdays, Sundaysand public holidays.
Holidays :
The College shall remain closed, on Sundays and public holidays as declared by theSavitribai Phule Pune University and on the days declared as holidays by the Principalfrom time to time. Details of Holidays will be published on college website and on theNotice Board.
Admission Procedure :
Procedure of admission to First Year Engineering, Direct Second Year Engineeringand First Year Post Graduate Courses is carried out as per the guidelines of Director ofTechnical Education, M.S. Mumbai. Cancellation of admission and refund of fees aremade as per the guidelines of Director of Technical Education, M. S., Mumbai andAICTE, New Delhi. No correspondence will be made with the candidate regardingadmission. It is the sole responsibility of candidate to see the notices on the noticeboard of the college regarding Admission, Examination, Term Work, Scholarship etc.Admission procedure under Institute Level Quota is carried out as per the guidelinespublished by DTE, M.S. Mumbai in theAdmission Brochurepublished in 2015-16.
The advertisement regarding the admission under Institute Level Quota will bepublished in Daily Indian Expressand Loksatta.
Affidavitof Anti Ragging :The Govt. of India / AICTE / University of Pune has made it mandatory to all studentstosubmit the hard copyof Affidavit filled onlinegiving undertaking. Studentsshouldvisit the Website of MHRD www.antiragging.in or www.amanmovement.org and fillin undertaking. They should take print of the same and submit it along withAdmission Form. Sample Form of Undertaking is available on the college website,notice board and in ComputerCenter.
Fee structure for the year 2015-16 :
The Interim Fee approved by Shikshan Shulka Samiti M.S., Mumbai for the year
2015-16 is Rs. 1,04,050/-. Students should note that if the final fee is less than the
Interim Fee collected, the same shall be refunded to the students within four weeks
and if final fee approved is more than the interim fee collected, students will have to
paythedifferenceof fees immediately.

Concession inTuition Fees :Concessions in Tuition Fees for GOI Scholarship and Freeship subject to approvalfrom appropriate authorities are available to the eligible students. The concession InTuition Fees will be granted after producing required documents. Concession in Feesis not meant for Physically Handicapped, Minority, and Economically Backwardstudents. Bus / Railway Concessions :The facility of ST / Railway Concession for the students to visit their Native Placeduring summer / Winter Vacation is available as per rules of the concernedauthorities. Local Bus / Railway Concession (Daily/Monthly/Quarterly) are alsoavailable for the bonafide students of the college. Residential address given on theadmission form will be taken as valid for this concession. It cannot be changed duringthecourseof theyear.
IdentityCard :Thecollegeoffice issues Identity Cards toall the bonafidestudentsof thecollege. Soonafter the admission they should submit their applications for Identity Cards withpassport size photograph pasted on it. Delay on the part of the students in obtainingIdentity Card is liable to be fined. They should bear in mind that Identity Card is animportant document and they should take utmost care in preserving it in goodcondition. Students should wear the Identity Card around the neck while they are inthe College Campus, failing which the Entry in the College Campus / Laboratory /Lecture Hall / Office /Workshopmaybedenied.Incaseof Lossof Identity Card, aduplicate Identity Card will be issued to the Studentsonpaymentof Rs.100/-
Useof MobilePhones :Students should keep their mobile phones on silent mode while on the collegecampus. Playing Music, Games, and Songs, etc. on mobile phones is strictlyprohibited. If the above instructions are flouted, mobile phones will be confiscated.Use of mobile phone in the Class-Room, Laboratory, Workshop, Library, ComputerCenterand Collegeoffice isprohibited.

Earn and Learn Scheme :The Earn and Learn Scheme of Board of Students Welfare, Savitribai Phule PuneUniversity is being implemented successfully for the needy students since theacademic year 2010-11. Students benefit from this Scheme by working in theLaboratories and Library and Office. Students are paid Rs. 50/ - per hour so as to meettheir monthly expenses. This Scheme also inculcates a sense of responsibility anddignity. Expert Lectures for the first year students are arranged under the SpecialGuidance Schemeof Board of StudentsWelfare, Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Hostel Facilities :Students should maintain peace and decorum in the Hostel. Student involved inragging in Hostel will be liable for severe punishment. Round the clock Security isprovided in the Hostel buildings. The necessary housekeeping services are providedto maintain the cleanliness. The college authorities will not be responsible for the lossof any personal valuables. Students will not be allowed to stay away from the hostelbeyond 10.00 pm. For detailed Rules and Regulations refer to Hostel Notice Board.Hostel fees including servicesand otherchargesareto bepaid inadvance.
Medical Checkupand Medical Facility :Students admitted afresh in the College and students residing in Hostel have toundergo Compulsory Medical Checkup as per the University directive. The scheduleof Medical Check-up is notified after the commencement of the First Term. Theservicesof the Medical Officerareavailable in thecollegecampus.
CareerGuidelinesand Counseling Centre :The following services are available to the students free of cost Guidelines forPersonality development: Effective study skills, Enhancing Physical Fitness, TimeManagement, and Enhancing Self Confidence. Counseling for personal problems,Academic difficulties, Stress, Tension, Anxiety, Worry, Concentration and Memoryproblems, Family and Social Relation. Aptitude Test is conducted on request atnominal charges. Workshopsand talksonvariousaspectsof personalitydevelopmentareregularlyorganized.
Bankand ATM :Bankof Baroda's Branchand ATM facilitiesareavailable insidethecampus.
Parking :Parking space is provided for two wheelers and students should park their vehicles atdesignated places only. Parking is at owner's risk. Vehicles parked else where are likelyto be confiscated and owner likely to be fined. Parking for four wheeler of the studentis not permitted in the College Campus and hence students are not allowed to bringfourwheelers in thecollegecampus.

The smooth functioning of the College depends upon observance of discipline by thestudents. The College can help the students better when Rules of Discipline areobserved properly. Violation of these rules deprives the students of the advantages ofdifferent facilities provided by the College. Following are some of the important rulesof discipline. Parent / Guardians are requested to direct their wards to observe thefollowing Rulesof Discipline.
1. Students must attend lectures, practical, tutorials, etc. as per Time-Table. They
should not remain absent for lectures, practical, tutorials, examinations etc.
without written permission of the Principal. Students whose attendance and / or
progress in various tests and examinations are not satisfactory and who do not
perform the required number of tutorials and / or practical are likely to lose their
terms. Studentswhodo notsubmitcompulsoryprojectwork insubjectare likely to
lose their term. Prolonged absence even on grounds of ill health may also lead to
losing of terms. Defaulters will be detained from appearing for Savitribai Phule
Pune Universityexaminations.
2. Defaulters listwill bedisplayed on thecollege notice board.
3. The Identity Card is meant for identifying bonafide students and is used for
permitting the students to enter college campus and to participate in various
activitiesand programsof the College.
4. The conduct of the students in the classes and in the premises of the College shall
besuchaswill cause nodisturbancetoteachers, fellowstudentsorotherclasses.
5. Every student shall wear a clean and decent dress while coming to the College and
Uniformsdirected bythecollegeauthorities.
6. No Society or Association shall be formed in the college and no person shall be on
the Collegecampuswithout thespecificpermissionof the Principal. The Principal
hasrighttorefusesuchpermission.
7. No student is allowed to display any Notice / Circular / Poster / Banner in the
College premises without the prior permission of the Principal. Strict action will
be takenagainst thedefaulters.
8. No student is allowed to be engaged in any political activity in the College
premises.
9. Outsiders are not permitted in the College premises without the prior permission
of the Principal. College students are not allowed to bring their relatives / friends

10. All meetings, cultural programs, debates, elocutions, etc. organized on the College
premises must be held in presence of teaching staff members and with the prior
permission of the Principal. The subjects of debates / elocutions must have the
priorapproval of the Principal.
11. Students must take proper care of the College property. Strict action will be taken
against the students damaging College property and will be required to
compensatethedamage.
12. Students involved in malpractices at the College / University Examinations will be
expelled from thecollege.
13. Smoking, Chewing of Gutkha / Tobacco / Pan Masala etc. is strictly prohibited in
the Collegepremisesaswell as in thecampus.
14. If, forany reason, thecontinuanceof student in the College is found detrimental to
the best interest of the College, the Principal may ask the student to leave the
College without assigning any reasons and the decision will be final and binding
on thestudent.
15. Playing music on Transistors, Tape-recorders, Car-stereos, Mobile Telephones or
any other similar gadgets with or without earphones is strictly prohibited in the
College premises. Defaulters will be punished and their instrument will
confiscate.
16. Use of Mobile Telephones is strictly prohibited in the academic area of the College
which includes Lecture Halls, Laboratories, Library, Open areas in the buildings
and in front of the building and parking area. Defaulters will be penalized and
their instrumentwill beconfiscated.
17. Students must not loiteron the Collegepremiseswhile theclassesarerunning.
18. Students shall do nothing inside or outside the College that will interfere with the
disciplineof the Collegeortarnish the imageof the College.
19. Studentsare notallowed tocommunicateany informationabout College matters
tothe Press.
20. Matters notcovered abovewill bedecided atthediscretionof the Principal.
21. All students and staff will stand still at their places when the national Anthem isplayed.
