What can I say, it’s been three months since I first opened the doors and everyone in the association has been fantastic. When I started I had a small but loyal customer base and when my customers have visited our York Road boutique they have been very impressed by the rich variety of shops in the local area. The best thing about Kings Heath has to be its community spirit. Time and time again, people have come to Benjamin’s through a recommendation or word of mouth and passing trade. It has certainly made starting a business in the height of a recession more bearable. The local interest is super, and with summer on the horizon I’ve been dressing local residents for weddings, business meetings, fathers day, anniversaries and have even had a couple of celebrities in for their TV appearance shirts.
