Two new buttons:‘NEW ORDER ENTRY’ and ‘NEW INVENTORY INQUIRY’

Instructions will cover these items. Other than cosmetic changes, the remaining options are as they were in the previous release of the Online Ordering/Inquiry System

Note:There is a ‘RESET’ button on all the displays. If, at any time, you are asked to click reset, just click the ‘RESET’ button.

Do not use your browsers ‘back’button while in any portion of theOnline Ordering/Inquiry System

NEW Online Ordering/Inquiry System – April 1, 2008

This is the screen displayed when clicking ‘NEW ORDER ENTRY’ from the main selection screen. On this screen you can start a new order, edit an existing order, delete an existing order or merge multiple orders into one. In the example, an order has already been started. You can edit or delete that order or start a new order.

For these instructions, we will start a new order. Click the ‘NEW STOCK ORDER’ button to create a new order.

Note:You will not see this screen if you do not have any saved orders.

The New Order Entry Screen. Type a part number, press the ‘tab’ key then type a quantity and press the ‘enter’ key.

Note:The Quantity will default to 1. If you only want 1 of an item, all you have to do is type a part number and press the ‘enter’ key.

The part numbers entered will scroll down the page as they are typed. Each line item has all the information for the part number: availability, unit of measure, popularity code, part description, your unit price and any interchanges or supercessions.

At the top of the page, an order total is displayed and is updated every time you type a new part number.

There are also ‘Edit’ and ‘Del’buttons with each line item. Clicking the ‘Del’ button will delete that line item. Clicking the ‘Edit’ button will allow you to change the quantity for that line.

Now we will discuss the buttons along the left of the screen. At the top is a new ‘PART SEARCH’button.

After typing the first few characters or numbers of a part, you can click the ‘PART SEARCH’ button to see a list of all parts that begin with the string you typed.

The other buttons on the display are self explanatory. There is a new ‘HELP’ button if you wish to view some helpful tips.

This screen is shown by clicking ‘SAVE-DO NOT SUBMIT’ or ‘SUBMIT ORDER’ on the order entry screen. Here you can enter a PO Number and any comments you wish.

If you clicked ‘SAVE-DO NOT SUBMIT’ on the previous screen, clicking the ‘SAVE ORDER & EXIT’button will save the order for further editing.

If you clicked the ‘SUBMIT ORDER’button on the previous screen, you will see both a ‘SAVE-DO NOT SUBMIT’ button and a ‘SUBMIT ORDER’ button.

Clicking the ‘SUBMIT ORDER’button will submit the order to us for processing.

NEW Online Ordering/Inquiry System – April 1, 2008

You now see two orders. The order that existed when we began and the order we created. From here, you can submit, edit or delete either order, merge the orders, or return to the main selection screen.

Note:If you merge orders, the PO number and comments from the first order on the list will be used.

NEW Online Ordering/Inquiry System – April 1, 2008

We have returned to main selection screen by clicking ‘RETURN’ on the previous screen.

Note:Do not use your browsers ‘back’button while in any portion of Online Order Entry/Inquiry.

That’s the new system!
