The student invitation is one of the most important pieces of the Pray for Me Campaign. When a student takes the initiative to ask another believing adult to pray for them, they begin creating a network of spiritual support. By stepping out in an act of vulnerability, the student is able to see the impact of their faith in a very concrete and tangible way. It is our hope that each student’s Prayer Champions will over time become a solid support system of wisdom, prayer, guidance, and love for them as they grow in their understanding of the Lord.

• W h a t i f t h e r e a r e n o t e n o u g h a d u l t s f r o m e a c h g e n e r a t i o n t o b e d i s p e r s e d a m o n g t h e s t u d e n t s ?

Every church is different and there will always need to be adjustments of the "ideal" scenario. The

vital goal in this situation is to assure that each child gets three Prayer Champions. Even if those three adults are not all from different generations (though that would be the best), it is greatly beneficial for each student to have three.

W h a t i f c o m m i t t e d P r a y e r C h a m p i o n s o r s t u d e n t s c a n n o t b e p r e s e n t a t t h e l a u n c h ?

1. It would be helpful to compile a list of all committed Prayer Champions who will not be able to attend the launch beforehand. 2. At the launch, work with the people that you have present. Allow people who are present to connect, and don't worry about the absentees until every match has been made that is possible. 3. At this point, students who have not collected three Prayer Champions or people who have not been invited to be Prayer Champions can draw from the list of students and Prayer Champions who want to be involved but are not able to be present at the launch. If there are still absent student and Prayer Champions who are not paired up at this point, you can assign them and let them know. 4. If, after leftover students have selected the remainder of Prayer Champions from a list of those absent, there are still students without three Prayer Champions, then request that adults willing to pray for two children gather in an area in the room and allow students to choose from them (be sure that the adults they choose from this group are not adults that they've already chosen. Every child needs to have three different Prayer Champions).

• D o P r a y e r C h a m p i o n s n e e d t o h a v e t h e P r a y e r G u i d e ?

The prayer guide, while not mandatory for the Pray for Me Campaign, is extremely useful in guiding Prayer Champions in scriptural prayer over the children they are praying for. The Prayer Guide is helpful in keeping Prayer Champions consistent, biblically focused, and intentional in their prayers for their student. It is highly recommend that Prayer Champions use the Prayer Guide daily during their year in prayer for their student.
