SKILLS & ASSETS

• A skilled communicator in both writing and in speech. • Punctual and committed. • Good work ethic; I see the value in a job well done. • Works well with animals. • Semi-fluent in Spanish. • Creative and artistic. I am a freelance artist outside of school and work. • Humble & honest. • Ready and willing to learn.

EXTRACURRICULARS Though my first job is that of a student, I enjoy giving my life meaning through a variety of different activities. During my time at Marquette in particular, I’ve involved myself heavily in the international collegiate Christian organization, Intervarsity, which has led me to conferences around the country and has become a sort of second family of mine. Beyond the spiritual, I’ve recently found pleasure in staying grounded and up-to-date on politics & current issues. In hopes of being current and of enlarging my world, I’ve been studying the Spanish language since late grade school. Spanish for the Business Professions is my major in school, but I believe the final step in attaining some degree of written and spoken fluency is to spend at least a semester abroad. For about two years now, I’ve also been developing a portfolio of my artwork. I have enjoyed cartooning and digital and traditional design for as long as I can remember and have made it a goal of mine to never stop improving my skill set. I have two online galleries and am also a part-time student at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in pursuit of a minor in Graphic Design (in addition to my minor in Marketing). I’ve also done some shadowing at a graphic design firm in Brookfield. Finally, looking ahead to finding a career, I’ve felt called to two distinct paths: work with animals/wildlife & graphic design. I’ve already described my experience with the arts, but most of my job experience thus far involves work in the outdoors and animal caretaking (most of which is detailed above). I intend to take classes in environmental ethics and feel most at-home when I’m outside of the home. Animal behavior and wildlife conservation are fascinating fields to me!
