>The Sauvabelin TowerThe Sauvabelin Tower, just a few steps from the lake of the same name, offers 360° panoramic views over the tops of the trees across to Lausanne and Lake Geneva, the Alps, the hinterland and the Jura. Made entirely of wood, this tower is 35 metres high with a diameter of 12 metres at the base and 8 metres at the top level.

OpeningThe watchtower is open to the public, mainly during the daytime and occasionally in the evening. Thenumber of visi-tors is checked and limited to a maximum of 50 people at a time by using an automatic gate. For more information call 021 315 42 74.

AccessThe tower is only a few minutes away on foot from the Sauvabelin restaurant, but can also be reached from two stops "Lac de Sauvabelin" of the number 16 bus of the public transport of Lausanne. Free entrance.

>La Tour de Sauvabelin La Tour de Sauvabelin, à quelques pas du lac du même nom, permet de découvrir par dessus la cime des arbres une vue à 360° sur Lausanne et le Léman, les Alpes, l’arrière-pays et le Jura. Entièrement construite en bois, cette tour s’élève à 35 mètres, avec un diamètre de 12 mètres à la base et de 8 mètres au palier supérieur.

>Der Sauvabelin-TurmDer Sauvabelin-Turm liegt nur einige Schritte vom gleichna-migen See entfernt. Er bietet über den Baumwipfeln einen 360°-Rundblick über Lausanne, den Genfersee, die Alpen, das Hinterland und den Jura. Der vollständig aus Holz er-richtete Turm ist 35 Meter hoch. Sein Durchmesser beträgt zwölf Meter am Boden und acht Meter im oberen Bereich.

ÖffnungÖffnungszeit für das Publikum ist hauptsächlich tagsüber und ausnahmsweise abends. Die Besucheranzahl ist mittels automatischer Drehtür kontrolliert und auf höchstens 50 Personen auf einmal beschränkt. Mehrere Auskünfte un-ter 021 315 42 74.

Elue «Ville du goût 2012», Lausanne honore sa réputation de temple de la gastronomie. Bénéficiant d'une incom-parable densité de restaurants étoilés, toqués, fleuris et hautement notés, elle n'en oublie pas pour autant de pro-mouvoir les produits de sa région. Auberges typiques, bras-series centenaires et terrasses avec vue sur le lac servent une cuisine traditionnelle composée de produits locaux tels que papet vaudois (poireau et saucisse aux choux), cochonnaille, charcuterie, mets à bas de fromage (fondue, raclette, beignets), tarte à la raisinée et spécialités au cho-colat suisse. Lavaux Express: petit train au pays des grands crusD’avril à octobre, un petit train touristique tout à fait ex-ceptionnel permet de visiter, de façon sympathique et conviviale, le magnifique vignoble de Lavaux aux portes de la Capitale Olympique: le Lavaux Express est un mini-train sur pneus composé d’une locomotive tracteur et de deux wagons de 17 places chacun. Une première boucle va de Lutry-Aran à Grandvaux-Village en passant par Les Echelettes et retour; une seconde boucle part de Cully et emprunte la Corniche par les villages vignerons de Riex et d’Epesses pour admirer le vignoble du Dézaley.

Le petit train attend ses passagers aux débarcadères CGN de Lutry et de Cully, 3 courses l’après-midi.

En été, un programme spécial inclut une virée dans un ca-veau tous les vendredis, samedis et dimanches soir avec dégustation de vins.

Le Lavaux Express peut également être loué pour des groupes de 34 places au maximum (écoles, clubs, sortiesd’entreprise, mariages, etc.).

Der Minizug nimmt seine Passagiere an den CGN-Schiffs-anlegestellen in Lutry und Cully auf, drei Fahrten am Nach-mittag.

Im Rahmen eines Spezialprogramm im Sommer können Sie einen Abstecher in einen Weinkeller mit entsprechen-der Degustation jeweils am Freitag-, Samstag- und Sonn-tagabend machen.

Lavaux Express: little train in the grand cru region From April to October, a quite unique little rail convoy will take you on a pleasant and enjoyable tour of the magnificent Lavaux vineyard at the gates of the Olympic Capital: the Lavaux Express is a mini-train on tyres consisting of a tractor train and two carriages, each with 17 seats. One route runs from Lutry-Aran to Grandvaux-Village passing through Les Echelettes and back; a second one departs from Cully and takes the Corniche mountain road through the winegrowing villages of Riex and Epesses to admire the Dézaley vineyard.

The tourist train picks up its passengers at the CGN landing stages in Lutry and Cully.

In summer, a special programme includes a trip to a wine cellar with wine tasting. The Lavaux Express may also be hired for groups up to a maximum of 34 places (schools, clubs, company outings, weddings, etc.).
