A message from our Principal…

Good afternoon everyone, Anticipation is building for our Arts Festival coming your way next Thursday! I can’t wait to see the showcase of Creative and Performing Arts the students and staff have put together for the night! In other news, I am looking at a few options in terms of making our newsletter more available to everyone and changing its current format. In short, with social media and a variety of other ‘apps’ available – we need to adjust the time we spend in creating messages to communicate to you. A few guiding questions have been these: How effective is our current communication with our school community? Which platforms are going to reach our school community most effectively? What costs are required to produce it?

All in all, going through our School Facebook page is going to be our number 1 priority for communication. This will be trialled in Term 4. The other major avenue for communication will be our Skoolbag ‘app’. Both of these are free and will be necessary to communicate with the school. However, there will always be notes home when necessary. I’m looking forward to reviewing the success of this decision and continuing to put in place effective communication strategies for our school communication.

See you all soon,

Brett
