1- What is the LC motivation to receive the EduAction project?

AIESEC in Itajubá became the reference in Educational Projects, achieving a national reward at the National Conference past July. Our social impact is huge, in the Alcançar Project,we reached 60% of the children in the 5th year in public schools in the city. But still not enough for the LC’s ambitions and society needs. EduAction Project will help us toincrease our relevance and take a step forward in changing youth mindset. Itajubá is the smallest city compared to all other Brazilian cities where AIESEC is present. It means EduAction will be even more powerful and relevant being ran in Itajubá. For AIESEC in Itajubá it is an extraordinary opportunity to expand our local presence and fulfill AIESEC promise.

2- Is your LC operating educational projects? If so, how many exchanges did you realized this year until now for the Global Citizen Educationals Projects?

Yes, we have a VP Educational Projects, 17 members working in this area and we realized21 Educational Project’s TNs in 2011.

3- Do you have any current relation with schools to implement this project? If so, what are their names? Could you specify the level of relation with them?

We have a partnership with the city Department of Education and the city Department of Social Assistance. All public schools were contacted and are avaliable and interested in our TNs.Also co-creation of new projects, constant feedback and involvement of the schools in events and hosting trainees. Below our history of the project.

+9 public and municipal schools hosted our projects (Dr. Xavier Lisboa, Dr. Antônio Salomon, Teodomiro Santiago, São Vicente de Paulo, Santo Agostinho, Prof. Carmo Cascardo, Padre Donato, Francisco Pereira Coutinho); +200 students from the same school - E.E. Coronel Carneiro Júnior;

4- Has your CL condition to organize a team with at least 4 people (including coordinator) in order to ensure delivery of the project? Justify.

Yes, in Educational Projects we have 1 team per project and another team for supporting the quality of all projects regarding service. For EduAction in Itajubá in 2012 we will organize a team with the structure displayed below:

5- How is the hosting program works in your LC? Explain.

Promotion: we use many different channels for promoting the host program, from language schools to project's stakeholders.

Matching: the people interested fill a survey and we get in touch through phone calls and visits. A couple weeks before the trainee’s arrival, we align the last points matching trainee with host.

6- Which kind of support your LC expect from the EduAction National and Global Support Team?

Brand management: align the messages and visual management of the project. We already know the channels in Itajubá and we use it very well.

Funds: we have experience in organizing social projects with high quality of experience for all stakeholders, but funds is still our bottleneck.

Matching off peak: if the project needs to be realized out of the global season(July and December) we need national support for matching.
