     The LCAP is a strategic planning and sta:eholder engagement tool in Ehich L$Asaddress the priorities identi;ed " the stateFs landmar: Local Control undingormula LCB legislation-1  =i!en the signi;cance of the LCAP for the state, theCalifornia #epartment of $ducation C#$B recogniGes the importance of pro!idingL$As Eith an LCAP template that supports their Eor:, facilitates the engagement ofsta:eholders, and is an eas".to.use and e4ecti!e planning tool-

    Currentl", local education agencies throughout the state of California are engagedin the de!elopment of their 2016.1< LCAP utiliGing the D$.appro!ed second.generation LCAP template, Ehich can e found athttp*HHEEE-cde-ca-go!HfgHaaHlcHdocumentsHlc4regulations-doc- Ihile this !ersion ofthe LCAP template is an impro!ement o!er its predecessor, the D$, Iest$d, and
