10:30 am Depart for St. Ives. Mid-Day Explore the lovely sea-side town

of St. Ives. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, ruins and markets to explore.

3:30 pm Meet back at the bus. Stop at a TESCO on the way back for groceries and supplies.

5:30 pm Back in Coverack Evening Dinner at hostel (self-catered) or

in pubs; soccer or free time.9:00 pm Inklings; then free time.11:00 pm Sleep advised. Keep noise/light in

11:00 pm Arrive at Tintagel; lunch in town or castle café. Try to stay somewhat together, as we will have to enter the site as a single group.

TBA Climb up to the lower ruins for brief Inklings (King Arthur, Ransom, & Aragorn).

Afternoon Explore the upper ruins, Tintagel Castle, and/or Merlin’s cave.

3:30 pm Meet at Tintagel carpark for return to Coverack.

Cafe for a bite to eat. Leaders will purchase group tickets and announce when we will be allowed into the castle.

Afternoon Climb the path to the castle and explore. Visit gardens on the far side of the castle.

Kynance Cove depending on tides. In Lizard we will explore the town and visit Ann’s Pasties, the best pasty shop in Britain. At Kynance Cove we will explore the cliffs and enjoy the beach. A cafe on the beach sells Cornish ice-cream and scones.

Mid-Day Switch locations, either to Kynance Cove or to Lizard, walking along the scenic path overlooking the sea.

Evening Dinner at Lizard hostel (self-catered) or in pubs; soccer or free time.

1:55 pm Ferry departs Dover. See the cliffs of Dover.

4:25 pm Ferry arrives in Calais, France; disembark and pick up rental cars; Drive to Doullens.

6:30 pm Arrive; check-in; eat dinner in Doullens (nearest town); football/writing time.
