Where are we?

• As of October 2013 there are 804 CMPPs – Approximately 60% of the ISMPP membership are CMPPs

– Approximately 5% of CMPPs are from APAC (and growing)

• Exam revised following issuance of October 2013 ICMJE Recommendations

• 70 additional candidates sat for exam in March, 2014– Results available in 4-6 weeks

What are we doing?

• First year of recertification– Recertification committee has reviewed countless educational programs

• Approved >275 credits toward recertification

• Pre-approval of many programs (ISMPP, AMWA, TIPPA, etc)

– 154 CMPPs were certified in 2009 • Will need to submit their applications to recertify via exam or via CE credits

• CE credits for ISMPP Us – Archived ISMPP Us are now eligible

• Exploring additional eligibility criteria

Where are we going?

• CMPP Code of Conduct– Ethical standards and conduct codes are central to certification

programs– Posted on the ISMPP website: http://www.ismpp.org/code-of-conduct– Comments due by May 1

• Accreditation– Multi-year effort to achieve accreditation from the National Commission

for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) – Identify and document compliance with each standard– Writing teams forming to develop the necessary narratives– Target application submission: August 2014
