Pros Cons Face-to-Face meetings

are routine. Proximity of Location. A virtual team can be

superior to a co-located team in idea generation. Brainstorm a good list of options then pick one.

Take advantage of the virtual team's ability to routinely document communications.

Different facility locations, time zones or countries.

Getting results effectively seems virtually impossible.

Communication may be inconsistent.

Transfer of information may become unwieldy.

Needed collaboration will be subject to interference.

Technology glitches will hold up progress.

Without a formal methodology for remote teams, performance of the team will degrade and strategic objectives will suffer. To get around this unfortunate fact of life, you need to employ a group of continuous reporting tools, metrics and practices for teams to be cognizant of their progress or lack thereof.

At Resources Healthcare Solutions, the Program Manager provides this direction.
