Laura has 13 years of experience using, supporting and implementing SAP. Her experience includes the global implementation of FICO specifically in the areas of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Internal Orders. She is a CPA and is currently an SAP Finance Project Manager. She worked in accounting for 10 years prior to transitioning to IT.

Laura was part of the global SAP implementation project at Newell and was part of the initial GLSU roll out for EMEA, using it as both as a tool for the Fixed Asset and Internal Order data conversion process as well as a tool for users posting journal entries on a daily basis. GLSU was subsequently incorporated into the GL conversion process as part of the LATAM implementation. Laura provides the training for GLSU for all of Newell’s implementations and acquisitions.

Bill has more than 7 years of experience using and implementing SAP products. His experience includes implementing FICO and BPC consolidations. He is managing a team of SAP analysts supporting the finance and accounting departments for which he previously worked as the Director of Corporate Accounting, managing the corporate transactional processing and financial reporting activities before transferring to the IT organization over 3 years ago.

In response to a recent audit, Bill and his team implemented custom validation within GLSU to restrict accounting users to posting documents only to the general ledger. Bill and the project team are currently evaluating workflow solutions coupled with GLSU to automate the journal entry approval process.
