Introduction

A. Your school has observed the increased use of social networking sites such as Facebook by your learners

B. You have also discovered that parents know little about how to guide and supervise their children while making use of these sites

C. Your school principal has therefore tasked you to write a newsletter to parents, informing them about ways of guiding their children in being safe while using social network sites

The Task

1. Use the provided document “Social Networking Leaflet” available from http://www.childnet.com to write a newsletter for parents

2. Informing parents on how they can guide and supervise their children to use social networking sites safely

3. Pay special attention to the “SMART” rule4. The newsletter may not exceed 300 words5. Use either a Word processor or WordPress

A. Word processed task: Submit the Word file by emailing the tutor or through Moodle (check with your tutor)

B. WordPress Blog: send the link to the blog through email or other options suggested by your tutor
