Learning Contract - Returning Intern Upon the completion of a winter or summer internship students may secure ongoing work at their company during the university semester or winter break – before returning full-time over the next summer or a structured winter internship. Continued work in an internship outside of summer is a privilege and will be afforded to interns based on meeting performance expectations and the availability of ongoing work in their company department. All ongoing work must not interfere with student’s commitment to the program and should be communicated and agreed with CareerTrackers before commencement. The following principles apply for all interns working in the internship outside of the summer period – - Create a Learning Contract (using this template) with manager and submit to Advisor - Continued participation at all CareerTrackers events - Submission of a Weekly Update to Advisor (during work in winter) - Maximum work of 1-2 days per week (during work in uni semester) - Submission of a Monthly Update to Advisor (during work in uni semester) The Learning Contract is an important agreement in and out of the summer because it provides oversight of the internship for interns, CareerTrackers and employment partners to ensure that each student has structure, support and makes progress towards their development goals and performance in workplace and uni. Learning Contract - Returning Intern

Upon the completion of a winter or summer internship students may secure ongoing work at their company during the university semester or winter break – before returning full-time over the next summer or a structured winter internship.

Continued work in an internship outside of summer is a privilege and will be afforded to interns based on meeting performance expectations and the availability of ongoing work in their company department. All ongoing work must not interfere with student’s commitment to the program and should be communicated and agreed with CareerTrackers before commencement.

The following principles apply for all interns working in the internship outside of the summer period –

- Create a Learning Contract (using this template) with manager and submit to Advisor- Continued participation at all CareerTrackers events- Submission of a Weekly Update to Advisor (during work in winter)- Maximum work of 1-2 days per week (during work in uni semester)- Submission of a Monthly Update to Advisor (during work in uni semester)

The Learning Contract is an important agreement in and out of the summer because it provides oversight of the internship for interns, CareerTrackers and employment partners to ensure that each student has structure, support and makes progress towards their development goals and performance in workplace and uni.
