• Early trials: High enthusiasm, low competence & high chance of failure• Creating and building a ‘bank’ of interactive plays
• Growing the team: Actors• Learning from evaluation: Audience preparation
• The importance of facilitation• The ‘Joker’ role: Training & refinement
• Increasing the ‘toolkit’ • Accessibility: patients & students as actors• External engagement

Origins & Process of Zappers Theatre?
Origins: Influenced by ‘choose your own adventure’ Research & Create: Human book, story board
Falling down the rabbit hole (2013) & LOCD IN (2014) Recruit actors: Student nurses, NHS partners Rehearsal: Collaboration & learning together Present:
1. The audience watch the play following a main character2. At pre-chosen points decisions are required to be made by the main character3. The play is paused and the audience is presented with the characters decisions4. The audience use the zappers to ‘vote’ on the decision they would like to take5. The decision with the highest vote determines how the story will continue
