What does that mean for you?

Why should you become independent?

We all have to learn to be independent at some point, whether it’s learning to cross the road in primary school or cooking a meal because your parents are late, and it is an important that we can be confident in our dependence as it means that you can take on more responsibility and have more fun along the way.

But you shouldn’t be too independent, it’s important that you can still be a team worker. Working as part of a team and independently are both very important skills for the future, and are very useful in school and further on in life.

Independence can also mean having your own style, daring to be different. Cutting edge fashions begin when someone decides to try a new item of clothing or combination of fashion items. This could then begin a craze which could change the face of fashion.Art is also about being independent, trying new colour schemes and developing your own unique style that shows your talent. It’s also important to lead others independently within drama so others may follow your ideas and contribute their own unique concepts within the piece.

Thomas Jefferson

A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character.
