tools ARE cool…
to inform to communicate
to sense
for getting involved and taking control
for asking important questions
for transparency and openness
for better policy making
for convening communities
for sharing and collaboration
but tools are not enough…
is it the medium?
or the man?
solution: leaders that lead and engage
is it the medium?
or the message?
“The Corporate Plan is the single operational document that is used to guide and monitor the delivery of the Council’s priorities… The Council's budget is a financial expression of its services and levels of provision but also a conditioner of them. It links the priorities and objectives of the Council as expressed in the Corporate Plan having regard to resources available and taxation consequences of spending decisions.”
solution: content and communications that engages
is it the medium?
or the masses?
solution: more convenors and bridge builders
imagine…
government as a platform for social change and innovation
less mob
more flash
from competent
to relevant
AND interesting
so where next?
