The Langley Events Centre (LEC) is a 322,312 square foot state of the art
facility, which includes an Arena Bowl, Triple Gymnasium, Double
Gymnasium, Fieldhouse, Banquet Hall and Meeting Spaces all in one.
Opened in 2009 with the latest technology, the LEC is home to
Trinity Western University Athletics (Basketball, Volleyball and Hockey),
the Langley Rivermen of the BC Hockey League, the Langley Thunder of
the Western Lacrosse Association and the Langley Junior Thunder of the
BC Junior A Lacrosse League and in 2013 the Vancouver Stealth made the
LEC their new home.
Many organizations call the LEC home including Basketball BC, Langley
Sports Medicine Clinic, Tourism Langley, MLA Rich Coleman, the Langley
Gymnastics Foundation, RE Mountain Secondary School, and the
Willoughby Community Centre.
The facility has hosted events such as the 2010 BC Summer Games, The 2011
CIS Men’s Volleyball National Championships, the 2011 World Junior A Hockey
Challenge, the 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling, the
2012 TELUS Junior Girl’s Basketball Provincial Championships, the 2011
and 2012 BC High School Boys’ AAA Basketball Championships, presented
by TELUS, and multiple Provincial Gymnastics Championships. The LEC has
also hosted the 2012 U-23 Pan American Men’s Volleyball Cup, the Holiday
Festival On Ice and the 2011 & 2012 NLL at the LEC.
Looking ahead, the LEC is excited to host the 2013 NORCECA Men’s

About theLEC
Langley Events Centre
With state of the art technology, international broadcast standard lighting with
performance features, 2 medical rooms, 3 referee rooms, 24 corporate suites,
10 dressing rooms, a social lounge, and a Ticketmaster ticketing system, the
LEC Arena Bowl is the perfect venue for major sporting events, concerts,
tradeshows, and large conferences.
The LEC features three, full sized basketball courts that can be converted for
multiple uses, including basketball, volleyball, auditorium, and concert set
ups. There are 22,034 square feet of usable space which is highlighted by
a beautiful maple hardwood floor, which spans the room. The Centre court,
which is FIBA Basketball regulation size and meets international volleyball
height standards, is highlighted by a broadcast capable Daktronics Video
Screen and Media Booth, as well as performance lighting.
The newly completed LEC Fieldhouse is located at the East end of the facility
and is a dry floor arena that has an optional sport court or turf surface. With
a capacity for up to 300 people and full concession available it is the perfect
location for minor lacrosse academies and clinics, training camp or regular
practice space.

The Facility
The Banquet Hall is a spectacular clear span room, featuring a fantastic view
of the mountains that can accommodate up to 500 guests seated, or 800 for
a stand up reception. On the natural hardwood floor, this space is perfect
for conferences, corporate luncheons or dinners, seminars, and weddings.
The space is completed with a state of the art audio and visual system that
includes three projection screens built for live broadcasts.
With 3 Meeting Rooms, the LEC can accommodate team meetings, small
seminars, and presentations for up to 60 guests. Each room varies in its
capabilities and provides a unique setting for your needs.
Our facility features a high quality, four sided Daktronics video screen in the
Arena and a similar, one sided Daktronics video screen in the Gymnasium -
both ready and able to stream (broadcast).
The features are supplemented by three advanced media booths that have
broadcast capable equipment including slow motion and graphics effects. In
addition, the facility boasts a state of the art Production Office and three
Production Studios.

The Facility
The Langley Gymnastics Foundation (LGF) is a non-profit organization that
has been providing the Langley community with quality gymnastics
programs focusing on physical fitness, and FUNdamentals since 1993.
Located at the North end of the LEC and featuring over 20,000 square feet
of gymnastics space, it is the largest space of its kind in Western Canada.
The Willoughby Community Centre and Park are located at the South end of
the LEC and feature a high end fitness studio that is complimented by a high
performance fitness room, pre-school, outdoor play area, multi-media room
and three multipurpose rooms; all with the latest technology and equipment.
Just outside the community centre is one of the most popular parks in
Langley with multiple fields and a fantastic playground and water park.
Located at the South East end of the facility, the Langley Sports
Medicine Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic offering Physiotherapy,
Registered Massage Therapy, Chiropractic Care, and specialty bracing.

The Facility
VANCOUVER STEALTH (NLL)
The LEC is home to the TWU Spartans men’s and women’s basketball
and volleyball teams as well as their men’s hockey team.
Their basketball and volleyball programs play out of the CIS while their
hockey team is in the BCIHL. The Spartans have become one of the
stronger programs in Canada West division of the CIS with their men’s
volleyball team winning the National championship in 2011 and 2012.
The Langley Rivermen are Langley’s British Columbia Hockey League
(BCHL) hockey team. Owned and operated by the Henderson family,
the club (and league) is aimed at helping hockey players obtain
post-secondary (NCAA Division 1 and CIS) scholarships.
The Rivermen feature a fast paced brand of hockey that is entertaining
for hockey fans of all ages.
The Langley Thunder are the defending 2011 and 2012
Western Lacrosse Association Champions and have played in Langley
since 2002. Owned and operated by the Buchan family, the team’s
roster is loaded with professional lacrosse (National Lacrosse League)
superstars such as Athan Iannucci, Lewis Ratcliff and Langley native
Garrett Billings to name a few.
The Langley Thunder Junior A Lacrosse team plays out of the BC Junior A
Lacrosse League and features future and current NCAA lacrosse players from
around the Lower Mainland. 2012 saw the squad host its first playoff games
at the LEC while boasting a roster that featured league all stars Brandon Bull
and Nick Stone as well as BCJALL Most Sportsmanlike Player Brett Dobray.
The Vancouver Stealth are a member of the National Lacrosse League
(NLL), the professional box lacrosse league of North America.
The NLL boasts the best lacrosse players in the world playing in a
nine team league spanning Canada and the United States with teams
in Buffalo, Calgary, Colorado, Edmonton, Minnesota, Philadelphia,
Rochester and Toronto . In their history, the Stealth have had
tremendous success on the floor, appearing in the NLL Championship
game in three out of the past four seasons, winning the 2010 NLL
Champions Cup.

the LEC unique. Our four sided Daktronics Video Screen in the arena
and single Daktronics Video Screen in the gymnasium, which are
complimented by a fully capable Production Studio and staff, allow your

Present the ‘Play of the Game’ or another unique game elements
and watch your business come to life on our screens. Your brand will be
seen by all those in attendance, will also reach our live web

Meeting Room A is located on the south side of Level 4 and is 1000
square feet with a capacity for up to 80 people (theatre style).
The room features two Samsung 42” HD capable televisions with
connections for DVD playback or laptop presentations.
Similar to Meeting Room A, Meeting Room B is located on the south
side of Level 4 and is 1000 square feet with a capacity for up to 80
people (theatre style). This room offers a more intimate feel with carpet
and a ceiling mounted Sanyo XU300 XHA projector with retractable
10’ by 10’ screen.
Meeting Room C is located in the South East corner of Level 4
(directly beside Meeting Room B) and is the smallest of our
meeting spaces with a capacity for 12 to 15 people. The room features
a mounted Sanyo XU300 XHA projector with retractable 10’ by 10’
screen and is perfect for a team or board meeting.
There are 24 private suites in the LEC Arena Bowl that can be leased
annually or for singular events. The suites vary from 12 to 24 in
capacity, and all feature 42” Samsung high definition televisions, a
couch, and miniature fridge. The suites are fully licensed for alcohol
sales and are catered and serviced by Tiara Food and Beverage.

Community Suite
Located at the West end of the facility, on Level 3, the LEC Banquet Hall
spans 8,116 square feet and includes three retractable screens that are
accompanied by three ceiling mount Sanyo XU105 projectors.
The room size is 188 feet long by 55 feet deep and has a capacity for
500 people in round tables of 8, 700 theatre style, 800 standing or 290
classroom style. The room is available for rent either by the hour or by
the day.
The 2010 Lounge offers a unique opportunity for guests to
enjoy an event at the LEC while having the ability to host a private
function at the same time. Located on Level 4 at the West End of the
building and with a capacity for 125 guests, the Lounge features a fully
functioning private bar and a spectacular view of the Arena Bowl.
The LEC Community Suite takes on different forms throughout the year
but offers a unique and intimate setting for hosting your staff or teams
during LEC events. The room has capacity for up to 75 people and can
be fully serviced by our catering team.
