Different kinds of Technology and Learning, Science with dif-ferent characteristics are emerging and they are integrating in Different Contentand technology. Also known as digital convergence, the combining of several industries computers, communications, consumer electronics, entertainment, and mass media throughvarious devices exchange data in digital form. Why it is important: Convergencehas led to electronic products that perform multiple functions, such as TVs withinternet access, cell phones that are also digital cameras, and a refrigerator thatallows you to send email. The progress of electronic integration and wireless communications is going topave the way to offer people the access to the wireless networks on the fly, basedon which all electronic devices will be able to exchange the information with eachother whenever necessary. Also, ubiquitous computing is an emerging field ofresearch for computing paradigms. This emergence is the natural result of researchand technological advances mainly in Digital Convergence and InformationTechnology, mobile computing, sensor networks, ad-hoc networks, IT service andapplication, Digital Convergence Policy , Telemedicine, Cloud Computing, Smartlearning and application, Robotics, 3D animation and Multimedia application,Biometrics and System, GPS and GIS, Bioinformatics and agent technologies. The aim of this international workshop is to present the innovative research andtechnologies as well as developments related to Digital Convergence and Infor-mation Technology, mobile computing, Cloud Computing, Smart learning and

Message from the HNCA 2011 Chairs(CSA 2011 Workshop)
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 1st International Workshop onHeterogeneous Networks, Computing and Applications (HNCA-2011), which willbe held in conjunction with the 3rd International Conference on Computer Scienceand its Applications (CSA-2011) in Jeju, Korea, from December 12 to December15, 2011.
Networks of today are going through a rapid evolution. Different kinds ofnetworks with different characteristics are emerging and they are integrating inheterogeneous networks. For these reasons, there are many interconnectionproblems which may occur at different levels in the hardware and software designof communicating entities and communication networks. These kinds of networksneed to manage an increasing usage demand, provide support for a significantnumber of services, guarantee their QoS, and optimize the utilization of networkresources.
This emergence is the natural result of researchand technological advances mainly in wireless communications, mobile comput-ing, sensor networks, ad-hoc networks, P2P networks and agent technologies.
The aim of this international workshop is to present the innovative research andtechnologies as well as developments related to heterogenous networking, wirelesscommunications, mobile computing and their applications. The organizing com-mittee of HNCA-2011 selected sixpapers for presentation in the workshop.
The organization of an International Workshop requires the support and help ofmany people. First, we would like to thank all the authors for submitting theirpapers, the Program Committee Members, and the reviewers.
