Job Description
The Department of Animal Science is seeking candidates for the positionof Lecturer/Adjunct Instructor in Animal Science with responsibilities inundergraduate teaching and academic advising. Teaching activities willinclude introductory courses related to food animals and introductory andadvanced animal science laboratory sections. Student managementresponsibilities will include club and academic advising of undergraduatesin the Department of Animal Science.
This position will be filled as either a Lecturer or Adjunct Instructor.Candidates interested in pursuing an advanced degree in the departmentof Animal Science at Iowa State University must meet the requiredqualifications for an Adjunct Instructor.
Required Qualifications
Lecturer:Master's degree in animal science or other related field; training and/orexperience in food animal production; demonstrated evidence of effectiveteaching and communication skills
Adjunct Instructor:In addition to the above qualifications, the selected candidate must havethree years of relevant experience in the animal production or meatprocessing industry.
Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated evidence of ability to work collaboratively. Previousinvolvement in Animal Science related undergraduate clubs and activities.
