The lecturer expects that all the participants can use WiFi at the conference room. Content of the workshop: The workshop 1) Provides you with fundamental knowledge of word accent of Japanese. What is accent sandhi? What is accentual phrase? 2) Provides you with fundamental knowledge of phrase intonation of Japanese. What is the shortcut to master a skill of reading Japanese text naturally. 3) Shows you how to use OJAD for your self-training of Japanese pronunciation. If you see this file on a PC, check this and this !! 4) Shows you details of accent sandhi of Japanese. What is the underlying mechanism and function of accent sandhi? Since the first release of the OJAD in August 2012, there have been more than 35K accesses from all over the world. We have given tutorial workshops of OJAD at more than 50 international cities . Never miss the OJAD workshop at KASHIWA campus! Bio. of the lecturer: Nobuaki Minematsu obtained the doctor of Engineering from UTokyo in 1995 and is now a full professor there. He has a very wide interest in speech communication covering from science to engineering, especially in applying speech technologies to language learning. He gave a tutorial seminar on CALL at INTERSPEECH2012. He has published more than 400 scientific and technical papers. Project OJAD received an academic encouragement award from PSJ.
