evening for conferences. Please
schedule a meeting with your
child’s teacher if you have not
already done so. Our goal is 100%
participation!
B-Ball Schedule Changed This season’s boys’ basketball
schedule has been revised, but this
week’s games are not affected. A
copy of the new schedule is
attached for your convenience.
Please disregard the old one!
Club 316 Returns Volunteers will conduct Club 316
meetings at LES each Monday in
November. They will begin right
after school and end at 4:45.
Students must have a signed
registration on file to attend Club
316 meetings.
New Arrival Mrs. DePriest gave birth to her
new daughter last Friday morning.
Hattie Pamela was 21 inches long
and weighed 8 pounds and 3
ounces. Congratulations!!!
Party Hearty Students who made their first grading period reading goal
enjoyed outdoor games and refreshments yesterday. The
boys pictured above dug-in for a game of battle ball. We
want to thank our party helpers! More pics are on the back.
Red Ribbon Week Next week is Red Ribbon Week at LES. Students will
be encouraged to make positive choices by eating
healthy foods, exercising, and saying “NO” to alcohol,
tobacco, and illegal drugs. Members of Mrs. Goode’s
Just Say No Club will share special messages during the
morning announcements and conduct classroom pres-
entations. We’ll also have a special dress-up theme
each day. Please note the following:
• Monday is “Put a Cap on Drugs Day” and every-
one is encouraged to wear their favorite cap.
• Tuesday is “Sock it to Drugs Day” so everyone will
make a fashion statement with crazy socks.
• Wednesday is “Team Up Against Drugs Day” and
sports jerseys or shirts will be worn.
• Thursday is “Fight Against Drugs Day” so camo
will be in style.
• Friday is “Blackout Drugs Day” and Halloween.
Everyone will be dressed in...well, you can guess!
Parents, please help reinforce our Red Ribbon Week
messages with your children!
