Simone Castelli ci racconta: “Il legno massello è una materia viva e prendeforma attraverso la manualità e il tempo, due fattori inscindibili che creanola bellezza. Noi abbiamo riportato in fabbrica “l’industria delle mani e deltempo”. Tramite i processi ossidativi fatti con sostanze naturali, otteniamo laprofondità di “quei colori” che la natura crea sui materiali. Pertanto abbia-mo riportato all’interno della fabbrica i processi ossidativi come per esempiola pioggia, il sole o l’acqua di mare e rendiamo alle nostre realizzazioni ilpatos di un recupero dalla natura unico e pieno di emozioni. Le boiseries rea-lizzate dal nostro marchio The WA sono in massello di legno ossidato e inlacca antica.”Continuando la conversazione con Simone Castelli veniamo a conoscen-za di ciò che egli definisce modus vivendi: “Lo stile di vita è la materia chesvela lo spirito nella bellezza incessante dei manufatti. È un cammino nellacultura che si sazia delle forme e dei modi del bello, nella storia si rivive il pre-sente con l’emozione di riconoscere noi stessi nel leggero linguaggio di interioririnati e la verità nuda e amata delle forme. Allora, ecco che rinascono pavi-menti in legno dalla storia con lagamma dei colori della natura; nellelesene e nellesimmetrie, le boiseriesrisaltano con le ombre e le luci dellecornici autentiche rifatte a mano.Nell’aria il sogno e il vivere vibrano,un modus vivendi raffinato di naturae storia”.Chiediamo con emozione a SimoneCastelli come è arrivato ad acquisirequesta materia?“È uno spazio dell’interiore. Il nostrosegreto che ritrova l’intimo nell lin-guaggio della nostra cultura. Il tutto èpurificato dalla sterilità, respira con icolori della terra. È una alchimia delnostro vivere quotidiano con le essenzedell’arte e della natura. L’alchimiadella stessa nostra vita ritrovata nellamateria pura, semplice e ritornata, lastessa materia di noi stessi. È come se illegno dei nostri pavimenti ci fosserestituito dall’acqua del mare, i legni“salinati” oppure dall'humus dellaterra nascosta, i bruni dei legni invec-chiati.L’alchimia ritrovata delle semplici rea-zioni della natura, la pioggia, l’acquadi mare, il vento, il sole, liberano legamme dei nostri legni”. The WA ha realizzato progettazioninelle più belle dimore italiane, fran-cesi ed inglesi. Attualmente sta rea-lizzando un progetto importante perun ristorante prestigioso romanodove i fini arredi realizzati dalla WAincontrano il Gourmet.

Simone Castelli says: “The woodwe use is a live material and takesform through workmanship andtime, two inseparable factors thatcreate the beauty. In our work-shop we’ve reintroduced “the factory of hands and time”. Through the oxidationprocesses and using only natural substances, we achieve the profundity of “those col-ors” that nature creates in its materials. Consequently we brought those oxidationprocesses inside such as rain, sun or sea water and we give our creations the pati-na of a unique return to nature, full of emotions.The panelling produced by our brand The WA is in oxidized wood and we use anantique satining process”.Continuing the conversation with Simone Castelli, we learn what he definesas his modus vivendi: “The style of life is the material that reveals the spirit in theincessant beauty of the objects. It is a path through culture that is appeased in theforms and ways of beauty, in history one relives the present with the emotion ofacknowledging ourselves in the light language of born-again living areas and thenude and loved truth of forms. Here then are the new floorings in wood from his-tory with the range of natural colors; in the strips and in the symmetries, the pan-eling appears with shadowing and the authentic frames are made by hand. Thedream and life vibrate In the air, a refined modus vivendi of nature and history”.We are moved to ask Simone Castelli how he acquired this material?“It’s a space for the soul. Our secret that finds the soul in the language of our cul-ture. Everything is purified by the sterility, it breathes with the colors of the earth.It’s an alchemy of our daily lives with the essences of art and nature. The alchemyof our own lives found in the pure, simple, returned matter, the same matter ofourselves.It’s as though the wood in our floorings was given back to us by the sea, the wood“salted” or treated by the compost of the hidden earth, the browns of aged wood.The alchemy rediscovered in the simple reactions of nature, rain, sea water, windand sun, free the range of colors of our woods”.The WA has realized projects in some of the most beautiful homes in Italy,France and Great Britain. At the present time it is working on an importantproject for a prestigious restaurant in Rome in which the elegant furnishingscreated by The WA encounter the Gourmet.
