We are happy about the sound barrier installation at Virginia Burton Gray Recreation Center, and we have class in the community room. Three of our Taekwondo students attend Morrow GA Elite Scholar Academy, which was selected among only 300 schools in the US to receive the Blue Ribbon Award from the Secretary of Education. Mr. Gilmere and Ms. Hinson finished as 2014 State Champions in Men 3rd and Women 1st Degree Black Belts divisions, respectively. Ms. Brianna Washington, a 2nd Degree Black Belt, 5 times State Champion, and Certified Instructor, graduated with honors from Woodward Academy, received several scholarships including Governor Honor Program, ATA, and was she accepted at Georgia Tech with another academic grant and marching band membership. We

are proud to have our participants in class at Virginia Gray Recreation Center!-Chaoki Tabet, Taekwondo Instructor

Dear Sir or Madam:As a cross country coach and special education teacher at Forest Park High School, I really value Reynolds Nature Preserve. It is an invaluable resource, and its close proximity to the high school makes it a resource that I use frequently for athletic and educational purposes. The high school’s cross country team runs the trails at the nature preserve on a regular basis. The kids love the trails and being in nature. They are excited every time I announce we are going there, and I love being able to take them there.Many of the kids run there outside of practice throughout the year. I know of one young man who runs there every day and does so to lose weight. He has gone from being very overweight and unhealthy to being in great shape and an outstanding runner. I believe much of this is due to the excitement he feels when running trails and being in the woods. I also love the safe environment Reynolds provides for the kids. They are able to run and explore without being in traffic or pounding pavement. The kids love it and use it a lot.I also teach children with intellectual disabilities. It is amazing to take them into nature and see how they respond to nature. Unfortunately, because of their disabilities, many of the kids are indoors and somewhat isolated most of the time at home. Reynolds offers them a safe and educational environment they can explore and enjoy. They are fascinated by the wildlife center and they love the compassionate and caring staff. They literally grin ear to ear and look forward to our trips to Reynolds. It is a tremendous asset to their education and wellbeing. As one who has built a career teaching the youth of Forest Park, I hope to continue to use the nature preserve for years to come. It is truly an indispensable resource. It is refreshing to see kids engage nature and enjoy doing so. In short, Reynolds transforms lives on a regular basis and should be lauded for doing so.

BEACH PAVILIONS CAPACITY RENTAL FEE St. John 500 $500.00 St. Martin 500 $500.00 St. Kitts 500 $400.00Rental of all on-beach pavilions require the purchase of a beach ticket in order to access the pavilion. Admission tickets to Beach Pavilions are $8.00 per guest only when pre - purchased. The $8.00 fee includes beach admission, beach volleyball and horseshoes. Beach Pavilion rentals must provide a load - in and load - out time for client to bring in food and supplies. This time may not exceed one hour. Online registrations will begin July 1st, 2015 and onsite registration for the fall 2015 season will take place July 13th through July 18th, Monday-Friday from 5pm-8pm, and Saturday 10am-4pm. Registrations will be held at the Virginia Gray, Jim Huie, Carl Rhodenizer, and South Clayton Recreation Centers, and at Clayton County International Park (the Beach) Nassau Building.

The Clayton County Soccer League provides a jersey, shorts, socks, shin guards, a ball, a water bottle, a backpack, team pictures, and a participation award. The Clayton County Football League provides a helmet, shoulder pads, game uniform, team picture package, and trophy for every athlete. Additionally, each participant must supply their own practice jersey and pants; thigh, knee, hip, and tailbone pads; mouth guard, cleats, socks, and athletic supporter with a cup. Each player must provide a certified copy of their original birth certificate (with a raised seal). Birth certificates will be returned after all teams have been certified.
