LEGOLAND DUBAI VICEROY PALM JUMEIRAH

An extraordinary landmark on the trunk of the iconic Palm Jumei-rah, Viceroy Dubai Palm Jumeirah is strategically located for con-venient access to Dubai’s business districts, as well as the city’s many exciting tourist and entertainment attractions.

This project required a high performance highly functional water security membrane that could also could meet the aesthetic demands of such an iconic building. VIP´s experience and excel-lent reputation in providing such solutions meant the solution demands were easily met by by VIP`s Leisureline standard lining system.The greater challenge was meeting the installation and com-pletion time given by the principal contractor in order to meet construction deadlines. VIP Technical Services project managed the installation of the lining system and despite extreme time pressures completed the project on time and to the complete satisfaction of the customer.

Dubai Parks and Resorts opened in Oc-tober 2016 and consists of three theme parks and one water park: Motion gate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai, LEGO-LAND Dubai and LEGOLAND Water Park.

VIP`s Leisureline Standard pool and lagoon lining system was applied to all concrete substrates exposed to pool water. LiquiShield Aqua , VIP´s pota-ble drinking water approved systems was applied to drinking water storage facilities.

VIP Technical Services provided pre-project advice and on-site technical support during application to resolve unexpected site issues as they were discovered.

ARTIFICIAL LAGOON NEAR MUSCAT OMAN WATERPARK SHARM EL SHEIKH

The Concord El Salam Resort located in Egypt is a 5 star hotel & resort. The resort overlooks the Red Sea in one direction and 5000 m² of water ponds, pools & mountain views in the other. From the outset all the water features and pools leaked and suffered surface discolouration. Maintenance was an on-going and very costly issue. High year round occupancy rates made major rectification works extremely difficult. Traditional options would simply take too long and did not guarantee future water loss if the concrete substrate continued to crack.

VIP`s Leisureline lining system provided not only a very fast appli-cation and return to service time but also due to its tremendous tensile strength and crack bridging properties a future guarantee of no water loss.

The Saraya Bandar Jissah complex is located on the outskirts of Muscat on a beach surrounded by the Hajar Moun-tains. Saraya Bandar Jissah will be home to 398 exclusive residential units, spa-cious hilltop villas, stylish duplexes and luxury apartments. The two beach front Jumeirah hotels form the major leisure components of Saraya Bandar Jissah, providing their guests with a luxurious and relaxing home.

One of the main attractions of the Saraya Bandar Jissah is the beautifull artificial lagoon. The entire area of the lagoon was sealed and protected with a VIP Leisureline system. Despite the beautiful scenic surroundings the envi-ronmental conditions are very challeng-ing with extreme temperatures, high humidity , salty air and high levels of silt deposits in the lagoon area.

This man made lagoon is the central focal point around which a new city is being built in honour of his Highness Sheikh Moham- med Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Initially designed to incorporate a 38 hectare crystalline lagoon with 14 ki-lometers of white sands, it will become the largest lagoon in the world once completed.

Due to the success of the project, the developers have decided to add an additional 10 hectares of lagoon, taking the total lagoon area to 48 hectares.Such a large and prestigious project re-quired the very best waterproofing and substrate protection solution. VIP was chosen as the supply and apply partner for this project.
