Leithen Valley Trophy Hunts New Zealand expanded its operation to include trophy hunting in Australia — the experience, knowledge and commitment gathered over many years has been invested into a unique, privately owned 360,000-acre hunting property in Australia’s Northern Territory. Water buffalo, scrub bull and wild boar roam our hunting area located approximately two and a half hours east of Katherine in the remote and untouched Australian Outback. Great trophies have been taken on this property.

Dry season hunting runs from the beginning of June to the end of August. Flights from the USA arrive at Sydney or Brisbane, and require a transfer flight into Darwin, Northern Territory. Your quest for an Australian trophybegins at Darwin. An overnight stay in Darwin may be necessary according to your arrival time and if so, we’ll make those arrangements on your behalf.

A team member will pick you in Darwin and drive you to our private hunting lodge. Our facilities offer comfortable rooms with en suite private bathrooms and all the comforts of home. Alternatively, you can choose to experience a true Australian Outback camp where you fall asleep at night looking up at the amazing southern sky while listening to the sounds of the bush. Charter flights to our lodge can be arranged at an additional cost.

Firearms regulations are strict in Australia’s Northern Territory and firearm permits are a critical component. Australian Firearm License permit application should be completed three months prior to a hunt, ensuring proper time for processing. A firearm permit will be emailed to you or provided during a convention. It is a simple process requiring detailed information — particularly the correct serial number of your firearm. If you do not wish to bring your own firearm, we have several different calibers to choose, but an application for an Australian Firearm License is required.
