INSTRUCTIONS:

To assemble rod, screw cone tip (C) through brass cloth patch (B) and bend patch backover_~~er. _ __ _ _ ~ _ _ __ _ __

A - To clean lead from the forcing cone (or bullet seat)

1. Swing cylinder out of firing position.2. Insert handle (A) through barrel from the muzzle.3. Screw cone tip (C) with attached patch (B) into handle, hand tight.4. Hold revolver with thumb of left hand through frame, and with right hand pull

cone tip and patch snug into forcing cone. Holding this pressure, turn handlein a clockwise direction four or five turns. If forcing cone is badly leaded,repeat this operation after flipping the lead off the patch with the thumb nail,pocket knife, or similar object.

* B - To clean barrel

1. Remove all grease and solvents from barrel.2. Insert handle (A) through the barrel from the muzzle.3. Screw rubber tip (D) with formed patch into handle hand tight.* 4. Be sure to check knurled nut to see that it is backed one-half turn away

from·t'ubber.* 5. Holding revolver in left hand with thumb through frame, pull tip (D) throughbarrel, (allowing handle and tip assembly to turn with rifling.) Thisoperation may be repeated, depending upon the condition of the barrel.

C - To clean lead from cylinder

1. Remove all grease and solvents from cylinder bores.2. Insert handle (A) from forward end of the cylinder.3. Screw rubber tip (D) with formed brass cloth patch (B) into handle (A).4. Hold cylinder with left hand and pull rubber tip with formed patch into

cylinder. When rubber tip engages front end (reduced diameter) of cylinderbegin turning in a clockwise direction. (It may be necessary to "snug" rubbertip ~p against handle to prevent stripping the wire cloth patch.

If any operations tighten either rubber or cone tip too tight to release with fingers,use key (E) to loosen.

CAUTION: Screwing nut against rubber to expand it will cause irrepairable damage.

NOTE: The brass cloth patch should be good for several cleanings. Should it becomeclogged with grease and lead, it may be cleaned with cleaning fluid and atoothbrush.
