Nikon’s Vibration Reduction System, or VR, minimizes image blur caused by camera shake. It makes for easy handheld shooting at dusk, at night, and even in poorly lit interiors where a tripod can’t be used like a museum.

Nikon’s Nano Crystal Coat is an antireflective lens coating which virtually eliminates internal lens element reflections. Effective in reducing ghosting and flare peculiar to ultra-wideangle lenses for clearer, more vibrant images.

Nikon’s Close Range Correction System utilizes a “floating lens element” providing superior picture quality at close focusing distances. CRC system is used in fisheye, wideangle, Micro, and selected medium telephoto NIKKOR lenses.

By minimizing chromatic aberration ED glass delivers stunning sharpness and contrast even at large apertures. By correcting how colour focuses in a lens, these glass elements provide the truest colour reproduction possible.

Quality Control Apochromatic

Optical Stabilizer Hyper-Sonic Motor

Sigma makes their own optical glass and requires that their lenses be analyzed by ultra-high definition sensors and approved before leaving their factory. Strict quality control insures the very highest quality lenses.

In order to attain the highest quality images, Sigma uses Apochromatic lens elements, APO, which are made using special low-dispersion (SLD) glass designed to minimize colour aberration. These optics ensure accurate colour and extraordinary sharpness.

Optical Image Stabilization, or OS, utilizes a build-in mechanism that compensates for camera shake which dramatically expands photographic possibilities by alleviating camera movement when shooting by hand held camera.

Sigma lenses with Hyper-Sonic Motor HSM, use a focusing motor driven by ultrasonic waves to provide a quiet, highspeed autofocus. Ver useful for quick and quiet focusing when recording video with audio.
