Last May, Fr. Scott challenged the Blessed Trinity School

kids to either pray the Rosary or read the Bible every day

over summer vacation. He asked them to take a picture of

them doing so while on vacation and then send the pictures

to him. From the pictures that were submitted he picked

these on the cover as the "winners." You see BTCS students

Penn Sauter praying a rosary from inside the arch in St.

Louis, MO, and the Bellinder children (Anne, Nate, Sara,

Luke, and Sam) praying in front of Mt. Rushmore in South

Dakota!

September Coffee and Conversation

Adult parishioners are invited to attend a new quarterly

series on health and wellness topics as we explore a

specific topic, learn about available resources, share

concerns and experiences, and get questions answered!

Our first session is Tuesday, September 25 following

morning Mass, 8:35 - 9:35. We will gather in the parish

hall at Saint Patrick's Lodi, for coffee and conversation

on the topic of communicating care needs and wishes,

family decision-making dynamics and setting bounda-

ries. Amanda Husk with Agrace Hospice will be our

facilitator. Please join us! Questions may be directed to

592-5711 x. 3. Fourth Quarter Date and topic: Tuesday,

November 27 - Janet Bollig with SSMH will discuss

loneliness and depression in older adults.

Parish Care Team Ministry Renewal Day

All members of our parish Care Team and those parish-

ioners who serve as Ministers of Holy Communion to

the Homebound (and to our local care facilities) will

gather for a morning of renewal, Thursday, September

27, following morning Mass, in the parish center at

Saint Patrick Church, Lodi, 8:45 am -12:15 pm. The

morning will offer a time for conversation, prayer,

sharing and exploring compassionate listening skills as

well as reviewing and celebrating our caring ministry. A

soup and sandwich lunch will be provided, along with

salads and desserts brought by those attending.

Morning refreshments will also be provided immedi-

ately following Mass. Please direct questions to Cindy

in the parish office, 592-5711 x. 3.

TEC Retreat #174 Coming to St. Cecilia at

Wisconsin Dells:

The date is October 26-28 with a noon start. TEC

(Together Encountering Christ) is an intergenerational

movement of the Catholic Church especially designed

to help Catholics grow in our love for Jesus, our Catho-

lic Church, and our neighbors. Although it is an amaz-

ing experience for anyone over 15 years of age, it can

be especially rewarding for those of us who desire to

deepen our Faith. Also youth who are preparing for or

have been recently Confirmed and those adults in the

RCIA program have benefited greatly from their TEC

experience. This is also an invitation for those who

have already experienced a TEC to come and help by

working on team. Fr. Eric Sternberg and Fr. Greg Ihm
