A Note From Our Pastor -

Capital Campaign Update: As you may know, many

projects related to the United Together in Faith: Rejoice

and Renew campaign have already been completed. At

St. Michael in Dane the sanctuary was renovated, the

kitchen was updated, the boiler system was replaced,

and the church entry was touched up. At St. Patrick in

Lodi the parking lot was repaved, the new entryway was

completed, and the bathrooms were remodeled.

So far we have spent approximately $988,758.80.

There are three major projects left in Dane, and three

smaller projects left in Lodi. These remaining projects will

cost approximately $255,000. In Lodi this includes reno-

vating the confessional, steeple board work, and replac-

ing the pew kneeler cushions. In Dane this includes a

storage addition off the gym, adding an ADA bathroom,

and repaving the parking lot. The Capital Campaign

Committee is paying particular attention to the projects

in Dane, trying to get them shovel ready by the spring.

In total, $1,212,835.86 in pledges were made. Right

now we have approximately $97,106.99 in funds avail-

able, and are trying to collect $110,023.09 in remaining

pledges. Altogether that means we will have an approxi-

mately $49,529.10 shortfall, but this will probably be

more with overruns.

Capital Campaign Support: In December, 2020 we will

wrap up the active phase of our United Together in Faith:

Rejoice and Renew campaign. To date, almost 400

people have made gifts or commitments to this special

campaign. Yet, in order to realize our true potential, we

need the support of all our members. So I’m writing to

simply ask, “Can we add your name to our already great

and growing list of campaign contributors?”

By making a gift, we’ll be able to add your name to our

planned donor recognition at the end of the campaign in

which we plan to list all of our donors. Please help con-

tinue the mission of Blessed Trinity. Cut off the donation

slip in this bulletin and drop your gift into the collection

or mail it to the office. All gifts must be received by

December 31, 2020 to be included in our donor

recognition. Thank you in advance!

Desk Needed: The parish is in need of an office desk,

preferably with drawers for storage. If you or anyone you

know has one and would be interested in donating it to

the parish, please contact Fr. Joe.

Piano on the Move: Next Tuesday the piano in Dane

will be moved up to the choir loft. Thanks to Dave

Hellenbrand for building a riser for the piano to sit on.

It will be great to free up the entrance of the church and

to be able to still use the piano.

40 Days for Life: As Bishop Hying recently wrote, “The

United States bishops have declared abortion as the

preeminent moral issue because no other fundamental

moral evil has destroyed more human lives.” We as

Catholics have the duty to witness to the sanctity of

human life, especially during its most initial stage of

development and fragile state of vulnerability. With this

in mind, I invite you to join me and other members of the

parish praying outside of Planned Parenthood in

Madison (3706 Orin Rd.) this weekend on Sunday,

October 18

th

from 2:00-3:00 PM.
