Sentence Clauses
What is a clause in a sentence?
A clauseis agroup of wordswith a (s) subjectand a(v)verb.
For example:
(s) Computers(v) areimportant.= 1 sentence with 1 clause.
We can havetwo clausesthough i.e. two groupsof words with a subject and a verb:
Computersareimportant, buttheyaredangerous too.
= 1 sentence with 2 clauses.
How about three sentence clauses?
Computersareimportant, buttheycan bedangerous too, sowemust takeextra caution.
= 1 sentence with 3 clauses.
Now lets add a fourth!
Computersareimportant, buttheycan bedangerous too, sowemust takeextra caution whenweusethem.
= 1 sentence with 4 clauses.
