Mr Iona’s attempt
Creating a Book Trailer: Step 1
• Choose a book you read recently• Plan your slides, include at least one slide with
each of these– Book cover – book title, author and your name– Main character– Two “plot” slides, which give brief story– Three slides with keywords describing the book
• Create slides in powerpoint about the book
Creating a Book Trailer: Step 2
• Colours of slides should reflect the mood (e.g., scary, funny) of the book– Having black slides would not be suitable for a
love-story• Find images to enhance your slideshow– Images should reflect what is on the slide and help
tell the story– Try finding a website that is linked to your book or
the author– Try using powerpoint clipart
Review what you have created
• Slideshow that:– Tells the viewer briefly about the book’s story– Has images to grab interest– Is eye-catching– Reflects the book
Save your work
• Click File > Save As • Choose Save as type > JPEG
Creating a Book Trailer: Step 3
• Music will help to reflect/create the mood• Find music– Go to a copyright free music website http://freeplaymusic.com
• Save it in your documents folder
