Meet to coordinate planners and determine basic content of units May 6 - May 16

Writers complete 1st 3 units (chronologically) and email to Mary Lou, Margo, and Deborah

Before deadline, writers exchange units and review one another’s with checklist May 23 Feedback to writers on first 3 units May 23 – June 20

Writers revise final versions of 1st 3 unit outlines and complete rest of units and model lesson plans.

Before deadline, writers exchange units and review one another’s with checklist July 3 Feedback to writers on final 5 units and lesson plans July 3 Editing process begins on first 3 unit outlines. July 14 All revisions due. July 14 Editing and publishing process continues on the rest of the

Planning Form

Collaborating to complete a planning form.  

Collaborate with your grade level team on completing the planner: Divide the sections and have specializations,

e.g., math, science, WIDA, etc. Exchange what you have done and complete the

planner Brainstorm possible topics for each unit. Try to

find themes that incorporate more than one content areas. If not all.

Meet to exchange ideas and determine unit themes.

Cross-check standards and grade level to assure maximum addressing of the standards.
