Welcome or ‘Ahlan Wa Sahlan’ as we say in Jordan.
On behalf of Jordan fencing federation, and fencing confederation of Asia it’s an
honor to invite you to practice at the 2019 Junior / Cadet Asian Fencing Championship which
will be hosted in Amman, and will provide you with a cultural experience that will never be
forgotten.
So we invite the Asian countries to join us for an historic event and to take advantage
of our world famous Jordanian hospitality.

5. Participants:
The member countries of Fencing Confederation of Asia and the Oceania Fencing Confederation can participate at the compotation.
Each participant must hold a valid passport of the country he/she is representing to be allowed to represent that country.
Each country can enter four (4) competitors to each individual event and one (1) team of three (3) competitors and one (1) substitute in each team event.
For Cadet events fencers must NOT be born before the year 2002, while for Junior events fencers must NOT be born before the year 1999.
For both Cadet and Junior events, fencers MUST have reach the age of thirteen (13) years old before the start of the AJCFC competition.
All fencers participating in the Cadet events must secure a valid FCA license and registered through the FCA website at least seven days before the start of The AJCFC competitions
All fencers participating in the Junior events must secure a valid FIE license and registered through the FIE website at least seven days before the start of the AJCFC competitions
6. Entry:
• Entry fee of US$40 for individual event and US$100 for team event must be paid prior the
event.

7. Accreditations:
• Officials and athletes should provide a passport-sized photo for making ID cards and send to
email: [email protected] by: Sunday, 17 February 2018
• For each athlete, coach and member of delegation a photo should be sent as “jpg” and the format file name of the photo: <country>_<official/athlete/Coach>_<name>. For example

8. FIE Rules:
The Competition shall be conducted in accordance with the current Statutes and Rules of the
FIE. In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the Rules, the latest English version shall
prevail. The Director Technique will, however, reserve the right to decide, without right of
appeal, on any issues not covered by the FIE Rules or by these Rules.
9. Equipments:
All equipments to be used must comply with FIE standards. All equipments must be submitted
for weapons testing and marked by organizer before they may be used in the competition.
10. Competition Management:
• Referee
FlE-licensed referees will be designated by the FCA. Referees must present themselves during
the Referees’ meeting on Tuesday, 26 February 2018 at 14:00 Referees must be properly
attired in jacket/blazer and long pants, team managers meeting will be at the same day at
16:00.
• Director Technique (DT)
The DT shall be responsible for the technical organization of the competition. The member
shall consist of five (5) DTs from different countries and the chief of DT assigned by FCA.
• Protests
Appeals against decisions of a referee should be made immediately by the competitor so their
team captain to the referee, before any decision is made regarding a subsequent hit. If the
referee should maintain his decision, the complaint shall be brought to the attention of the DT.
11. Prizes:
• Individual events: one (1) gold, one (1) silver, and two (2) bronze medals to the top four (4)
fencers and diplomas to the top eight (8) fencers.
• Team events: four (4) gold medals for the champion team, four (4) silver medals for the
second placed team, and two (2) sets of four (4) bronze medals for the two losing teams in the
semi-finals, and diplomas to the members of the top four teams.
12. Entry visa:
If your country is one of the countries that don’t need a previous approval as listed below
you can obtain the visa at Queen Alia International Airport noting that the cost of visa fees
is 30US$.
If your country is one of the countries that need a previous approval as listed below you
have to apply for the visa through the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Embassy at your
country.
Participants are requested to present at Embassies of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in their
countries or at Queen Alia Airport the invitation letter and filled visa application form.
To receive an invitation letter, please, send by e-mail ([email protected]) or fax (+962 6
565 13 61) the visa form by January.06, 2019.

Approval will be needed for visa applications from nationals of the countries listed below.
Therefore, please allow 4-6 weeks for your application to be processed.
Make sure you carefully read the visa requirements before you proceed.
