The aim of the Bohinj Hiking Days is to make use of the natural and oth-er characteristics of Bohinj in the development of tourism, develop an integrated tourism product, focus promotion on specific target groups and, last but not least, extend the tourist season in Bohinj.The Hiking Days project is a partnership involving Hiking & Biking Slo-venia and local associations, organisations and tourism providers in cooperation with the Julian Alps community, the Alpine Association of Slovenia, the Triglav National Park and the Slovenian Tourist Board.

The rich flora of Bohinj and the mountains above it are a feast for the eyes of all visitors to Bohinj and the surrounding area from early spring until autumn. This extraordinary natural heritage and related cultural heritage are an obligation to act responsibly. Through the International Wildflower Festival in Bohinj, which has now reached its ninth edition, we wish to highlight the importance of conserving wildflowers and flow-ering meadows, promote the development of the local community and offer visitors to Bohinj a genuine experience of unspoilt nature.

Around the little villages of the Brda district with views of the Alps and the sea, where the mild Mediterranean climate also offers a warm em-brace to sports enthusiasts throughout the year.
