TECHNOLOGICAL LITERACY

The American people have embraced and understood technological literacy as the "new basic" for today's world, along with reading, writing, and arithmetic. Technological literacy is not only knowing how to use technology for word processing, spreadsheets, and Internet access. Technological literacy is using the powerful learning opportunities afforded by technology to increase learning in academic subjects and increase students' skills (Ed.gov, 2003).
