We arrived at Spencer Street and arrived at Kyneton Station safely- and from there we waited for the bus to take us to Doxa Camp. As soon as we arrived, Harold showed me around the camp as I had never been there before. On the Saturday it poured rain all day and we had to stay in all day. On Sunday we went to Bendigo to the Trash and Treasure which was very nice and we then went in to the Bendigo Gardens for lunch and then went back to the camp.On Monday we went to Cherry Berry Farm where we had our lunch and spent a very nice day. After tea that night, Harold, Lin and I went for a walk down by the creek and I gave Harold some cheek and he said he was going to pick me up and throw me in the creek. As he went to pick me up, he lost his balance and we both went down. I broke Harold's gum boil in his mouth and I hurt my back. All in all, I had a marvellous time and am looking forward to next year.VAL PRATT

«rIt is very nice to be in Doxa Camp this year - it was very exciting. It was well organised. It has a lot of games in the gym, slides, bridges and a lot of equipment outside.During the camp, we had the chance to go to Bendigo Market and Cherry Berry Farm where we had a very nice time.I hope that I can come there every year.Thank you,IRINI HEDDY

We all had a great time at Doxa. The weather was a bit cool but better. Shane, the bus driver had been out fighting three fires that week before we got there.Everyone seemed to get on with each other without any fights. Ruby did a great job. I enjoyed myself and had a great rest. I am sure everyone else did too.

POIKA. CAMP

The first couple of days were a let down because of the weather but Daryl and Jimmy kept us all lovely and warm with the fire - it was great thanks fellas. The concert was a big hit as always thanks to Telina. All the kids joined in and had a ball. Harold makes a lovely looking woman. Wayne left a bit to be desired. We all enjoyed our volleyball game, don't ask me what side won but it was fun. Thanks Edna for sticking up for me and talking them into letting me out of the cupboard. Also thank you Kim for sharing your lollies with me.If anyone is thinking of buying a board game, I recommend Pictionary - what a funny game. We stayed up playing it until 3 o'clock. Here is an example - what's this.

DOKfl !We, my family, had a great time up at Doxa. We had a special friend share our holiday with us - Val. She is a great gal. We had her thinking that the spiders were as big as race horses. I always love the outings. Cherry Berry Farm wasgreat - we ate so many strawberries I thought I was going to look like one. The children were great and really enjoyed themselvesGrant was great and the meals he supplied were absolutely lovely. .We had plenty to eat and we came away very full.' The bus ride from and to Kyneton was different. Only . one complaint - "the damn weather". It rained when we stepped off the bus, rained all the time we were there "on and off" and the #*? rain stopped the day we came home.I liked the holiday so much I didn't want to come home. Seriously, thanks to Nancy for the organisation and Ruby for .keeping us all in order. I and my family like, and appreciate, the holidays you give us.Thanks to you all.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

fya;}\V • *.1•• -4

/&?;sFfaIt

The Ministry assists consumers, tenants, landlords and traders to resolve disputes in two ways. If a person has not received satisfaction from contacting the trader or landlord themselves, they may send a complaint for conciliation to the Ministry or lodge an application with one of the tribunals. Following a request for conciliation, contact will be made with a trader or landlord. If the trader or landlord is not willing to negotiate, the person who sent in the complaint is advised if appropriate to lodge an application with one of the tribunals.

During 1989/90, the Ministry received 12,945 requests for conciliation. 9,497 or 73 per cent were general consumer matters and the remaining 3,448 or 27 per cent were in relation to residential tenancies matters and are listed in Appendix 7. The conciliation function is carried out in each regional office and head office. At head office two teams provide services to the North West region of the S tate and the inner region of Melbourne.
