4 th February 2015 Mrs Chris Parfitt Head teacher Fagley Primary School Bradford BD2 3PU Assessment Date: 28 th January 2015 Fagley Primary is a friendly and welcoming school. During this IQM assessment I was very impressed by the enthusiasm of the Inclusion Manager, teaching staff, support staff and the Head teacher. Everyone clearly fosters a positive approach within the school and is keen to provide a secure and safe environment for the children. There is a clear endeavour to support the social and emotional needs of children highlighted by the school wide ‘key worker’ system. Positive behaviour is encouraged through the use of the school’s code of conduct and rewards issued for good behaviour and achievement. Parents value the ‘open door’ policy of the school and the work of the Inclusion Manager. Governors are committed to supporting the school. All involved want the very best for the children in their care. As the IQM assessor, I had open discussions with staff, parents, Governors and children and had access to all parts of the school. Staff endeavour to differentiate for the varying needs of children; parents appreciate the support their children have been given to enable them to progress. The school tries to engage with parents and constantly seeks to improve communication with them, engaging them in the learning process, and makes effective use of the school website and Blog. The content of this document is based on only a sample of the evidence presented and observed. My thanks go to everyone who generously gave their time during the IQM assessment. Everyone gave open and honest opinions. I am of the opinion that the school fully meets the standard required by the Inclusion Quality Mark. There are only minor areas requiring development and the school is aware of these. I recommend that the school be awarded the Mark and be reassessed in 3 years’ time. Mrs Chris Parfitt

    Head teacher

    Fagley Primary School

    Bradford

    BD2 3PU

    Assessment Date: 28th January 2015

Fagley Primary is a friendly and welcoming school. During this IQM assessment I was very

impressed by the enthusiasm of the Inclusion Manager, teaching staff, support staff and the

    Head teacher.

Everyone clearly fosters a positive approach within the school and is keen to provide a secure

and safe environment for the children. There is a clear endeavour to support the social and

emotional needs of children highlighted by the school wide key worker system. Positive behaviour is encouraged through the use of the schools code of conduct and rewards issued for good behaviour and achievement.

Parents value the open door policy of the school and the work of the Inclusion Manager. Governors are committed to supporting the school. All involved want the very best for the

children in their care. As the IQM assessor, I had open discussions with staff, parents,

Governors and children and had access to all parts of the school.

Staff endeavour to differentiate for the varying needs of children; parents appreciate the

support their children have been given to enable them to progress. The school tries to engage

with parents and constantly seeks to improve communication with them, engaging them in

the learning process, and makes effective use of the school website and Blog.

The content of this document is based on only a sample of the evidence presented and

observed. My thanks go to everyone who generously gave their time during the IQM

assessment. Everyone gave open and honest opinions.

I am of the opinion that the school fully meets the standard required by the Inclusion Quality

Mark. There are only minor areas requiring development and the school is aware of these. I

recommend that the school be awarded the Mark and be reassessed in 3 years time.
