Flipped Classrooms

Tis’ the SeasonThe holiday spirit is shining bright at Bloomingdale Elementary. Decorations were hung and students and staff were decked out each day for our Holiday Spirit week. Everyone was grateful for some normalcy and enjoyed spreading some cheer. Staff created a festive atmosphere while keeping students engaged and safe. We wish all our families a Merry Christmas and hope you enjoy a much deserved holiday break!

Even though it may look a little differently than years past, our students are learn-ing and growing every single day. Many classrooms have flipped to doing more class-work electronically versus pencil and paper. This helps ensure success both virtu-ally and in person. Despite everything going on in the world, our students are re-silient, and overcoming chal-lenges they’ve never had to deal with. We are so proud of the way they are performing and adapting. Parents, keep

encouraging your child, and students, keep up the good work.

The students were very excited to use the new water filling stations last spring that the PTO helped our building receive. As part of that same grant, all the students at the elementary school received a cute, new water bottle this year. Students can safely refill their bottles throughout the day, and it helps encourage them to drink more water and keeps plastic out of the landfills. We are extremely grateful for such an outstanding PTO and all they do for our staff and students.

I would like to sincerely express my gratitude for the amazing work you accomplish daily for Bloomingdale Public Schools.

Your positive attitude has been a breath of fresh air. Not to mention how you’re always looking at ways to improve the cleanliness of all of our buildings. It is impressive to see the exceptional discipline and dedication to the students and staff of Bloomingdale Public Schools.

Please know the school district and community value the amount of effort you put into your work. Your attitude and teamwork is something we could all learn from. Once again thank you for your hard work. I look forward to seeing your future achievements and successes.

In our Life Skills class we are exploring different hobbies. We are learning about finger knitting. Here are some of the projects the students made!

Face to Face student, Jacob Clouse spent many hours recreating a replica of ancient world history.
