March 6, 2007 To whom it may concern: I am most pleased to write a letter of support for Christian Tremblay. During the winter term of 2007 Christian was a student in my Secondary Education, APT class for science majors. During the class Christian demonstrated many of the qualities that will make him a successful teacher. Christian’s assignments were always completed with noticeable effort, reflective thinking, and academic excellence. His writing and verbal skills are exceptional. Christian was always on time for class and positive about doing the work of a teacher. During group work, he displayed the ability to work with his peers in a professional learning manner. Christian worked collaboratively and encouraged input from other beginning teachers and students. He looked for opportunities for leadership in helping organize a Science Olympics for grade 7 students and freely gave of his time in judging two science fairs during the winter term. I believe Christian’s enthusiasm for teaching, combined with an energetic drive to improve his skills should provide the foundations for a successful teaching career. I highly recommend him for a teaching position. Sincerely Dr Bob Ritter Department of Secondary Education Faculty of Education University of Alberta
