OPTIFLEX – Designed to satisfybetter than any other TDR

OPTIFLEX 1300 C

Various probe types and materials to cover all applications

For all applications

• No interface too thin• Stable and reliable measurement• Measures any product

in any application

OPTIFLEX 1300 C

In contrast to earlier guided radardevices, the new OPTIFLEX with itsmore advanced design solutions hashigher signal dynamics. Sharper puls-es measure thinner interfaces.OPTIFLEX’s exceptional timebase stabi-lity means it has better repeatabilitythan older devices: this makes it anoutstandingly reliable meter.

• Simple installation

• Wizard driven

• PACTware-ready

• Easy to use

• Service and maintenance-free

No interface is too thin OPTIFLEX can detect and measureinterfaces not much thicker than a 50 mm / 2" film of oil on water in alarge tank.

Stable and reliable measurementDespite disturbances such as stronglyagitated surfaces, foam, coating of the probe or fine dust in the tank,OPTIFLEX will continue to measurewhere competitors' devices capitulate.

OPTIFLEX measures any product ...Most 2-wire TDR devices measuredown to a dielectric of 1.5. As aresult, many organic compounds arenot measured properly. OPTIFLEXmeasures down to 1.4 (and even 1.1using its first-rate tank-bottom follow-ing mode).

... in any application5 different probes means there's notan application that we can't handle.

OPTISOUND 3010 C – 3030 C – for Liquids

Continuous Ultrasonic

OPTISOUND 3010 C – 3030 C

OPTISOUND 3010 C -3030 C areultrasonic sensors for continuouslevel measurement, suitable for liquidsand solids in virtually all industries, particularly in the water and waste-water industry. The transducer of theultrasonic sensor emits short ultra-sonic pulses to the measured prod-uct. These pulses are reflected by theproduct surface and received by thetransducer as echoes. The runningtime of the ultrasonic pulses fromemission to reception is proportionalto the distance and hence to the level. The determined level is convertedinto an appropriate output signal andoutputted as measured value.

Fields of application

• Level measurement during pro-cessing and storage of liquids

• Sumps, water and wastewaterbasins

• Noncontact flow measurementand detection in open channels

OPTISOUND 3030 C – 3050 C – for Solids

OPTISOUND 3030 C – 3050 C

OPTISOUND 3030 C - 3050C areultrasonic sensors for continuouslevel measurement, particularly suit-able for solids, but also good for liquids. The transducer of the ultrasonic sen-sor emits short ultrasonic pulses tothe measured product. These pulsesare reflected by the product surfaceand received by the transducer asechoes. The running time of the ultra-sonic pulses from emission to recep-tion is proportional to the distanceand hence to the level. The deter-mined level is converted into anappropriate output signal and out-putted as measured value.

BM 26 / BM 26 A – Bypass LevelIndicator

Continuous Buoyancy and Potentiometric

BM 26 / BM 26 A

The BM 26 operates on the principleof communicating vessels. The measuring chamber is connectedto the side of the tank so that thesame conditions are obtained in thechamber as those in the tank. The float is equipped with a systemof permanent magnets to transmitmeasured values to the local indica-tor.The magnetic field generated by thefloat either rotates a column of mag-netic yellow– and black-sided flapsaccording to the liquid level, or dis-places a follower magnet in the glassindication tube, depending on themethod of indication chosen. The number of reversed yellow mag-netic flaps, or the vertical position ofthe follower magnet, indicates the liq-uid level.

• For Level or Interfacemeasurement

• Particularly suitable for use withhighly corrosive, noxious or flam-mable substances and ideal for severe operating conditions

OPTISWITCH 3000 series

Switches Vibration

OPTISWITCH 3000 seriesThe tuning fork is piezoelectricallyenergised and vibrates at itsmechanical resonance frequency ofapprox. 145 Hz. The piezoelectric ele-ments are fastened mechanically andare therefore not subject to tempera-ture shock limitations. When the tun-ing fork is immersed in the product, the amplitude of the vibrationchanges. This change is detected bythe integrated electronics and con-verted into a switching command.

The models OPTISWITCH 3100 C,3200 C and 3300 C are available instandard, cable and tube versions. These are ideal for numerous appli-cations thanks to the many processoptions available. They are completelymade of stainless steel and have allstandard approvals.

Unlike the other models in the series, the OPTISWITCH 3000 C has a smallnumber of options. It is a cheapmodel with a plastic threaded processconnection, a plastic housing and noapprovals.

Fields of application

• Overfill and dry run protection

OPTISWITCH 5000 series – ideal for liquids

OPTISWITCH 5000 seriesThe tuning fork is piezoelectricallyenergised and vibrates at itsmechanical resonance frequency ofapprox. 1200 Hz. The piezoelectricelements are fastened mechanicallyand are therefore not subject to tem-perature shock limitations. When thetuning fork is immersed in the prod-uct, the frequency changes. Thischange is detected by the integratedelectronics and converted into aswitching command. The modelsOPTISWITCH 5100 and 5150 areshort versions without extension, whereas OPTISWITCH 5200 and5250 can be ordered with extensiontubes. The level switches OPTISWITCH5150 and 5250 have a polished sur-face especially suitable for hygienicapplications.

LS 7200 – LS 7241 for detecting the level of conductive liquids or dry-run protection of pumps

LS 7200 – LS 7241

The hygienic conductive sensors typeLS 72XX pick up the electrical resis-tance of the tank product when theelectrode is in contact with the prod-uct. The wall of the vessel or the pipeacts as reverse potential.

Stump electrodes for pipe installation(LS 7200/7201) or mono or multiplerods (LS 7210-7240) are availablefor installation in tanks. The sensor rods are made from stain-less steel or coated to make theminsensitive for foam or product buildup. Sensor rods can be shortenedwithout special tools.

• Optimized flow geometry

• Precise switching point

• Hygienic installation

The electronics is either integrated inthe electronic compartment or can be placed in the panel room.On varying products (with differentconductivities), the sensitivity can beadjusted via a contact input.

With a huge variety of hygienicprocess connections, a crevice-freeinstallation can be achieved. Theseconnections are EHEDG-approved asthey are so easy to clean.
