LEWISTON AUBURN COLLEGE STUDENT PROFILE REPORT FALL 2015

This report focuses on any USM student who enrolled in a course at USM’s Lewiston Auburn College Fall 2011

through Fall 2015. Any course with an Academic Org of USM Lewiston Auburn or a USMDept of Lewiston

Auburn is pulled for this summary report. The students are broken down in 3 different categories:

Non degree;

NonLAC matrics (matriculated in a degree program that is not LAC); and

LAC matrics.

In this report, you will find summaries by:

Headcount by category and major/plan (Pages 1-4);

Enrollments by the students’ category and major/plan (Pages 5-8);

Enrollments and course credit hours generated by category (Pages 9-10).

Enrollments and course credit hours generated by category and the course subjects (Pages 11-19); and

The final summaries are the Factbook sections for LAC matriculated students (Pages 20-21).

New this year, is the breakdown for LAC matrics and the subjects of the courses they are taking. Please note

the * regarding enrollments (butts in seats) in courses and how they are counted in the course subject summaries

section.

A FIRST LOOK AT LEWISTON AUBURN STUDENT PROFILE FALL 2015:

When looking at Headcounts:

61.1% of all students taking a course at LAC were non-LAC matrics.

56.2% of the non-LAC students taking a course at LAC were non-LAC matrics. Only 4.9% were non-degree.

At the non-LAC matric undergraduate level, 33% were GO students (conditionally admitted), 14.8% were

Environmental Health & Life Science students, 12% were Business students and 11.1% were Undeclared.

9.3% of all LAC martics enrolled Fall 2015 did NOT take an LAC course.

When looking at Enrollments:

At the non-LAC undergraduate level, 27.9% were GO students (conditionally admitted), 17% were

Environmental Health & Life Science students, 16.7% were Undeclared students, and 10% were from

Business.

58.7% of all students enrolled in a course at LAC were matriculated in an LAC program.

38.3% of all students enrolled in a course at LAC were non-LAC matrics. Only 3% were non-degree.

For LAC undergraduate matrics: 29.1% of the course enrollments were in the SBS subject area, 24.2% were in

the LOS subject area and 16.8% were in the LCC subject area.

For LAC graduate matrics: 86% of the course enrollments were in the OTH subject area and 14% were in the

LOS subject area.

For nonLAC undergraduate matrics: 37.3% of the course enrollments were in the LAC subject area and 18.1%

were in the LCC subject area.

For non-degree undergraduate students: 24.4% of the course enrollments were in the SBSI subject area and

16.3% were in the SCI subject area.

For non-degree graduate students: 71.4% of the course enrollments were in the LOS subject area.

When looking at Course Credit Hours:

59.1% of all course credit hours at LAC were generated by LAC matrics.

37.8% of all course credit hours at LAC were generated by non-LAC matrics. Only 3% were non-degree.

For LAC undergraduate matrics: 30.2% of the course credit hours were in the SBS subject area, 22.8% were in

the LOS subject area and 19.6% were in the LCC subject area.

For LAC graduate matrics: 87.1% of the course credit hours were in the OTH subject area and 12.9% were in

the LOS subject area.

For nonLAC undergraduate matrics: 33.1% of the course credit hours were in the LAC subject area and 21.8%

were in the LCC subject area.

For non-degree undergraduate students: 24% of the course credit hours were in the SBS subject area, 13% of

the course credit hours were in the SCI subject area, and 12% were in the LOS subject area.

For non-degree graduate students: 87.5% of the course credit hours were in the LOS subject area.

LEWISTON AUBURN OVERALL FALL 2015:

Lewiston Auburn College represents 5.74% of USM’s Total Degree-Seeking ¹Headcount and 5.13% of USM’s

Total Degree-Seeking Student Credit Hours generated for Fall 2015.

For Baccalaureate degree-seeking LAC students, Social & Behavioral Science majors represent 51.6% of the

students and Leadership and Organizational Study majors represent 33.7% of the students.

For Master degree-seeking LAC students, Occupational Therapy majors represent 73.3% of the students and

Leadership Studies majors represent 26.6% of the students.

For Baccalaureate degree-seeking students pursuing an LAC Minor, 45.4% were Early Childhood Studies

students and 36.4% were Public Health students.

For Baccalaureate conditionally admitted (GO) LAC students, 7 students were enrolled Fall 2015.
